I don’t see the Rockets adding another center. They’ve got enough centers on the roster (or who can “force” a training camp invite) already: Clint Capela (he’ll be back) Nene (guaranteed contract) Chinanu Onuaku (guaranteed contract) Zhou Qi (non-guaranteed contract) Isaiah Hartenstein (can force a non-guaranteed contract for team to keep his draft rights) Meanwhile, Capela is the only true center the Rockets will use against the Warriors, anyway. Tucker and Anderson are better “center” options than a true center versus the reigning champs.
How? He's a halfcourt, back to the basket post up player (and not even especially good at that). That's the opposite of Capela. Do you think Okafor will completely change the way he has always played? Do you think he's capable of playing the way Capela does?
MDA providing the lighting, and Tilman is probably in the kitchen preparing the desert, all to save money.
You know for once, I'd like us to have a steal in the draft. Like I really hope some of the second rounders end up being real studs.
The Warriors now have Cousins so we're going to need more muscle for the 2019 Warriors. I can't imagine Anderson against Cousins. Nene isn't reliable. The others are RGV material. We'll have to get a big if we want to compete. Maybe we can get by until the trade deadline, but we'll definitely need more help down low come playoff time. Might as well get a cheap big now and give him time to mesh.
This is cool. But to do it without tampering the Rockets would have to have permission? Or since it wasn’t the player it is ok?
