Morey let Ariza walk because he didn’t want to commit that kind of money to Ariza which is why everyone’s trying to figure out what’s his plan. He normally wouldn’t have done something like that without a plan. Anyway S&T to receive a player, using the full MLE and some other moves can trigger the hard cap which is the tax apron of $129m this season.
