Elton Brand was a dominant post player that did not rely on athleticism. He had an Achilles injury like Cousins at the same age. Look what happened to his career. He fell off the map after that injury. Assuming that Cousins at 80% will happen next year is too much to expect, IMO.

Yes. I read and listen to the same things you do. But what that report meant was we’re not promising him minutes. He’s there in case of injury. Tony would have no minutes if he came here unless there was an injury. He’d be like Nene.

Agreed. Play each team 3 times = 87 games. Eliminate 5 pre-season games. Revenue and fairness increases.

When you mix a notorious bad attitude player with an injury that causes him to be a shell of himself for some time, then you have a big problem on your hand

MCW might even be unplayable. Tony would be another coach/player type guy

I really think the Rockets would rather burn their TP MLE on a player that can contribute at the start of the season, hopefully a 3&D wing type player.

This year no way. Next season with Paul a year older and no cap room left they could have a window. It will depend on who signs in LA though.

Next year is the true test of the Warriors payroll though. Klay could want the max and leave. Draymond turned down an exemption this summer for the super max next season as well.

Not to mention he has had the reputation of not committing to the type of diet needed for him to lose weight.

He might end up being unplayable but that’s obviously not how the coaching staff sees him. I think they like the length he brings at his position.

In the history of the game, how many all star centers under the age of 30 have torn their achilles? When the sample size is closer to 0 than to 5...then you really have no data to rest your argument on.

Like I said, feel free to hold out hope for a miracle if you like. No matter how you try to downplay the injury that's effectively what you are doing.

You do realize that Lebron is older that Paul right?

Lebron is a cyborg, his age doesn’t count. He’s the spurs, tom Brady, etc... ill believe he’s falling off when he does

Wes was kind of the same player eventually. I think the difference is the weight. He’ll probably be conscience about diet now.. something he hasn’t done in his career as he’s usually overweight. He was still ballin tho.. I think on defense is where he may be really bad now
