Randle is not a center, he's a 4, a strong one but a 4, his defense is meh too. Still, Codman said we had some sort of interest at the deadline, if that's true we might still offer him a starting spot sliding Tucker at the 3. Not sure it's a great fit tbh, but maybe it will give us another potential asset...
Sam Presti is clearly a magician. Drafts 3 future MVPs, loses 2 of them, wins 0 rings and still is able to keep job. He also convinced the owners to pay a 150+ mil repeaters luxury tax... If he doesn't lose his job next year when OKC is out before reaching the finals, I'm convinced Sam Presti is just the slickest man alive.
They might have no other choice, hopefully they resist, but i think the writing is on the wall. Payton is a huge downgrade over Rondo as today, he's more athletic but worse in every aspect of the game.
Morey and staff are playing this Capela situation perfectly. Have to make sure he doesn't sign the QO but man I'd be surprised if he gets more than $16-18MM per at this rate.
What I cant stop thinking about in all this (another poster said it yeaterday), is that Cleveland set this ALL up. Taking on Clarkson and Nance and sending back an expiring. And we all know lebron was calling the shots. Wish the NBA wasnt corrupt and would look into it.
Teams with cap who are interested in signing a big will be more incentivized to go after Randle due to him being unrestricted instead of Capela. Capela already has a very limited market and Randle should make that even smaller.
