Just realized that clutchfans have a #tripleC all-star insider line-up: @cyberx, @codman, @ch44. My body is ready for a big3 offseason from #tripleC, followed by a big3 2018-2019. Yummy.
I kind of disagree, there’s a difference between being here in the bad times and staying always vs coming here primarily for the good times and then leaving
Nah. Once LeBron joins, @Clutch might have to put a limit on the amount of people this board can let in. It will get flooded with Filipino's and uneducated Bronny riders. Not all fans are equal.
Or the ones who come here only during the bad times....I know it sounds unbelievable but I've seen it on this board
I thought they were GS fans now? The comments you read from Filipino people on FB are so obnoxious. Maybe a language barrier similar to those idiots who comment "Interested" on every company article or news release on Linkedin.
Wishful thinking and not positive all the math adds up, but... If LeBron doesn’t come to Houston, this is what happens: Cleveland blows it up: Houston trades Gordon + Anderson + Future 1st for Kevin Love and Rodney Hood. This essentially frees up ~$4.5 mil for Houston Houston: Signs Tyreke Evans, re-signs Ariza, gives CP3 his max, matches Capela’s max. Heavy in luxury tax but feasible. Paul/Evans Harden/Evans/Green Ariza/Hood/LMM Love/Tucker Capela/Nene/Qi There’s your roster that competes with GSW/BOS Other (waaaay out there) scenario: let Capela and Ariza walk, sign DJ and try like hell to get PG here with a deal similar to what Snake did for GSW Paul/Evans Harden/Evans/Green George/Hood/LMM Love/Tucker Jordan/Nene/Qi You can **** on Love all you want, but he’d be perfect in Houston.
Not a fan either tbh. Even though, like i always say, if we can't get anything better...i mean, still better than Anderson for that salary lol, but yeah, i wouldn't trade Gordon for Love.
Love is the stretch four that this team needs. An 18-8 guy that can comfortably be the third scoring option. Stick him in the corner, have him crash the boards on long threes and PnRs
This description reminds me of someone...mmmh can't remember his name now Spoiler Jokes aside, i think Love would be better than Anderson (obviously) but not better than Gordon for us, would still get burned on defense, wouldn't be able to play the 5 effectively on defense...and he's going to get paid next summer.
Dude, don't even get me started with Facebook basketball know-it-alls. And the Filipino's? They'll literally tell you with a straight face the top 5 players in NBA history are: 1. Kevin Durant 2. Steph Curry 3. LeBron James 4. Michael Jordan 5. Draymond Green yes, I've been presented with that. No, they weren't trolling. I was stunned.
For me, Tucker made this conversation moot. Millsap was a nice version of Tucker that we wanted all these years and we got him for $8M. Likewise, Luc covered the bench minutes of that arrangement perfectly and with Ariza's versatility we have the front court D we need. I agree that Millsap provides more consistent offense but that is required of him not just being a set shooter that waits for 3s.
I think Melo gets bought out/stretched or traded which is why he is saying he won't come off the bench. OKC doesn't want him back and they are losing PG13. We obviously only want to acquire him afterward and not in trade. He could sign for TPMLE in future years to recover lost money.
This, in today's NBA we can't play Love at the 5 and would have the same horrific problem at the 4. I am not going to count up how many games we won this year because PJ and Luc could lock down the 4/5 position of the other team but yeah we are talking about 7-8 EXTRA games we won because we didn't get lit up. If you did the stat on all games the previous year you would see where we got torched. Ever notice this year we didn't have a plethora of Aldridge playoff games wrecking shop on us. I love Clint to death but that was PJ and Luc laying down the law. Why do you think we played so much better once we started PJ and gave away Ryno's minutes. It is about a 5-10 point swing a game honestly. Team D is most critical but if you watch and understand the game you can specifically point to areas where you know there was a significant difference. That made the whole team D MUCH better. Harden was more effective because of backup and could play more man up and take away the baseline, less work for CP3 on penetration, more steals, more rebounds, etc. In fact, the biggest improvement we could have in on D from #5-8 to #1. We might gain another 5 points a game and have much more rest heavy 4th quarters.
Do we hear anything tonight about LeBron wanting out? My theory is since he left so "unprofessionally" last time he may go straight to Gilbert after the game to tell him he's done.
