Harden did not want Bron here, he told people close to him that he was hoping it would not happen. He believes this is HIS team. He did not want to be Kyried. He never said this to the front office because he is a TEAM player... He would have recruited, done it all, because that is who James is... But he wants to be more Kobe v2, Kyrie V2.
For all of CF's speculation, Morey always pulls something that no one has thought of. I'm headed to Texas for a family reunion in Houston and some down time in Fredericksburg, I'll let the board speculate.
We would've to move Gordon and possibly other assets to get Love, who's also expiring and going to get paid...no thanks, we're not better against the Warriors if we swap Gordon for him.
Would I rather us secure LeBron's talent than the Lakers? Of Course! But as someone older who witness the first two championships with the Rockets and Hakeem it wouldn't feel authentic. It be good to have another team wearing down on the Warriors in the West for the Rockets to finish them off! The off-season would feel complete if we can trade Ryan Anderson.
By the looks of things, if LeBron is a Laker in the Space Jam 2 plot, it makes sense that @Maverick Floor could have been exposed to that. Kudos to him/her if that was indeed the case. Thanks for sharing also
I can appreciate his perspective. LeBron brings his circus act wherever he goes and that was the part I wasn't really excited about. Let James and Chris put their mark down with some extra help from DM (Butler's return home would be nice). Thanks for sharing.
It shouldn't. CP3 could have just stayed in LA for one more year and go to the Lakers this summer knowing that LeBron was going to leave Cleveland if he wanted to play with LeBron that bad.
That makes Harden seem more like a diva than the guy who turns every free agency he has into a red carpet event each and every time. Look, I think if LeBron wanted to be here James would have welcomed him with open arms. Harden and James are fantastic players who could have made it work. LBJ didn't want that. That's fine, and I don't think it had anything to do with the talent Houston has. I legitimately believe he doesn't like the city, and while I have no evidence of it, its something I've felt for quite some time.
I should have clarified... I don't want to move Gordon to get Love... That wasn't even on the table for me...Anderson and picks def wouldn't get it done either? Sucks that KLove will be wasting away on that team
There will be some that will spin this in a negative way but I respect Harden for wanting/keeping this HIS team.
