#hegone #theyallgone Whose doorstep will Morey be on on July 1st? Assuming it's not one of the Rockets own (CP3, Capela, Ariza...)
Agree. And with another super team in the West, as far as "ring chasers", Rockets may be at least 3rd in the pecking order behind Golden State (looking to re-make their bench) and now LA. (And that's not including Boston.)
Fine, so be it. It's not going to be the end for Houston. GS will still be stronger than them. Houston can still surprise LAL too, as long as all of our guys are fit and healthy, despite having only the 5 M plus MLE.
Now you can only hope Butler asks to get traded (to Houston) or we'll get back all the guys, maybe minus Ariza. I just don't see other options out there that would make us that much better considering Gordon would've to be traded in order to make a solid upgrade, unless you think getting Boogie to play the 4 is the answer. Best case scenario now is the one where we get Butler. Worst case scenario we swap Anderson (alongside minor assets) for a guy who is at least playable like Bazemore. Not sure we would be able to eventually get with a sign & trade a guy like Aaron Gordon or Jabari Parker, assuming they're worth a 15/20M per year contract since i think that's pretty much what they'll get.
Rockets will have a good chance of being the first seed actually. The Lakers aren’t going to get that quickly.. if you recall, many people didn’t expect Houston to play so lights out right out of the gates like they did
His point is ring chasers for the minimum are more likely to pick Golden State and the Lakers over us.
I meant 3rd in the pecking order when it comes to free agents. Not playoff seeding or playoff positioning. Although I agree with @justtxyank - Lakers will be good. Those who are saying they'll suck or lucky to make the playoffs or whatever, that's foolish.
disgusting "While you dreamed, we built, built for your arrival" They sure built a lot of bricks the last 5 years over there. I now know why Lebron refuses to have any more meetings. They offend the basic intelligence like cheap beers commercials. Maybe if he takes a meeting with the Lakers and it's anything cringy like this he will rather go back to Cleveland straight up.
Yeah, Lebron plus George, Lonzo (or who will be there in his place), Kuzma, Ingram, Randle (if they can still keep him)...that's already better, if not way better than the current Cavs.
sure very interesting. PG13 and his agent seems to have learned nothing from the past lessons. Whoever tries to shove their decision aka abandoning fan bases- on television doesn't end up with any good PR.
did California move to the Eastern side of the USA while I wasn't paying attention? The Cavs are a perenial nba finalist, that team will be lucky to make it past the first round in the West.
VERY. In my opinion it was purposely leaked. They don't need to recruit him. He has ALREADY been recruited. 1) The "report" on Lakers doubling down on "not tampering." 2) The "report" on PG wavering on leaving OKC. He might really stay! 3) The leaked "recruit" pitch. 4) The PG FA special. LOL. Obvious.
