My math isn't what it used to be....but if you pass that along, doesn't that now make it a 91% chance of LeBron James coming to the Rockets?
I like the theory. The problem is, if LBJ comes here and wins consecutive titles as you suggest, I don’t think the Warriors aren’t disbanding, and they won’t just fold. I think you’ll see the Warriors/Celtics/Etc keep adding to their super teams, and the small market teams who won’t ever be able to build super teams will have no choice but to fold. Say hello to a 8-10 team NBA.
Well just as I said, it's better to be on a playoff team in OKC for one more seaosn than be on a non playoff team in LA....and if Paul George is the only "star" to come to the Lakers this off-season, they most likely won't make the playoffs. Now sure, they'd MAYBE have a shot at the 8 seed but they'd have an uphill battle. I'm glad you have blind faith in your team.....but we've been hearing the same kinds of things from Lakers fans every off-season for years now and they are still not only a lottery team, but the 2nd best team in LA currently.
Why would Lakers absorb Parsons or Anderson? They both have multiple years left on their contracts meaning they would miss free agency again next year. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Randle get close to 20 million a year. Lots of teams have cap space to waste. I hope Lakers match that cuz they would be irrelevant for years with only one star. I do like Ingram but until he fills out his frame he will be in and out of lineup just like he was this year. Can’t wait til y’all draft Liangelo Ball. He’s gonna take you to the playoffs.
http://www.espn.com/espnradio/play?id=23846098 Bobby Marks & Russillo: Russillo: If Kawhi ends up in LA, does that guarantee LeBron? No it does not. No one wants to believe that but that is the truth. As I tweeted out, there's still hope in Cleveland they can add pieces. LeBron is part of the recruitment. It's not just Koby Altman. He's trying to figure out who out there may want to come to Cleveland. ... From personality standpoint, if Paul George were in LA before Kawhi, that's where Kawhi should be fighting to say I only want to be there because Lakers will have some little pieces here to do some other things. Say George wants to leave and that's no certainty, LeBron would prefer to play with Paul George. It's a personality thing. If that did happen, I don't know what young guys would be here but I can pretty much tell you Lonzo would be gone. That's a combo of him being redundant with LeBron & no way LeBron James will be playing for the Lakers, miss the game winning shot & LaVar going on First Take saying he should have passed to my boy. ... Maybe Kemba. Bobby Marks: BM: (2010 LeBron free agency) When LeBron sat down with Jim Gray, was there any part of you that thought when he said "I'm taking my talents to _______" that he'd say Newark? -- No. We already knew. We were alerted 2 days ahead of time. That comes from the agent to Jay Z to us. BM: It's a lesson that when you miss out on your key guys, you don't need to go out & spend all your money. Jordan Farmar, Anthony Morrow, Johan Petro, Travis Outlaw, an offer sheet for Tyrus Thomas(5yrs/38M). It was exciting for a couple days for our ownership group but in reality, we didn't have a realistic chance. Spoiler BM: If he opts out, we can start eliminating teams. We can probably eliminate Houston. Trying to get a S&T there & staying under the hard cap while keeping Capela & Chris Paul, I don't know how Daryl would pull that off. Russillo: I've talked to teams that said 'I don't know man, good luck moving Anderson.' BM: Anderson contract I think would cost you two seconds. (Think he meant two firsts?) Jamal Crawford last year went for one 2nd(again one first) and had $15M/$16M left on his contract. If not Cleveland, I think you turn your focus to Philadelphia & Los Angeles. BM: I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't start meeting with teams until the 2nd week of July. Russillo: If he opts in, people will freak out & say he's not leaving. I'll be the guy that says don't rule him out staying. ... If he opts out here, I don't know what it'll mean but it's finally happening where I'm starting to hear...I always wondered when he'll go for the full max. He probably wants that full 5th year max. At some point he'll move off the year to year thing to lock in a longer contract. BM: If he opts out & tries to do a S&T, take away the hard cap restrictions, when you do a S&T, it has to be minimum 3 years. I think it's fascinating if he opts in. It just opens up the field but then Cleveland can dictate the type of package. I think the only way he opts in is if he's staying in Cleveland or has a team in mind. Opting in & traded, 6 months after you can sign an extension for 4yrs/$160M. Russillo: So basically we're saying opt in, force a trade Chris Paul style, ahead of time say "I'm leaving, I'll do you a solid & you can get a piece back. I'll opt in & sign an extension 6 months later." BM: Yup. This is the team I want. If you're Dan Gilbert, I don't know you want that Ryan Anderson contract so you gotta find a 3rd team there.
Ryan Anderson takes 2 first round picks to trade Meanwhile, Deng is getting traded for Kawhi Ok BSPN....
Its completely stupid to keep discussing any deal where Kawhi is straight up traded to LA. Its stupid. Its not going to happen but they talk about it as if its likely anyways. Waste of air time.
Paul Gorge is gonna stay in OKC. So is there any chance that Lebron will be a Thunder? Damn the Thunders always could get what they want.
I mean, you could listen to the podcast that J.R. transcribed. The link is at the top of his post. tl'dr Listen to podcast, bro
Considering that poster is loud and wrong about absolutely everything, I'm suddenly feeling a lot less optimistic
That's what J.R. did. Read JRs transcription above. He cut 1 hr 30 mins to a single post Why don't you read his post and summarize for @Kendrick Lamar
Someone in here needs to crack the case on why tf Kawhi so damn mad at Pop and the Spurs to fake an injury and not even wanna be around them lmao. Its bugging tf outta me.
It looks like George is staying in OKC and Kawhi being traded to Boston. All those scenarios bodes well for us because Lebron ain’t going to la to play with Lonzo bust or Ingram
Agreed, but the problem there is that if LA doesn't look like a real possibility, then Cleveland could just try to keep him there. If they don't believe he'll really walk to LA then they could call his bluff. I don't think they will and I think an opt in and trade gets done at some point next week, but it's something to think about.
