Let's get back to what really matters. Getting off your ass, getting a job and leaving your mother's house to sleep on a friend's futon. Get cracking.
I dont understand the angle here. So ur saying its more likely lebron and pg13 go to la now? What other stuff is going on?
I agree that Boston has so much to offer; but I feel their top assets, Tatum and Brown, are pretty much untouchable now. Am I wrong? I would trade Kyrie before I trade a 21 year old or a 20 year old that you’ve drafted, have obviously not had an injury or surgery that would alarm you, and have already showed themselves capable of handling playoff pressure at such a young age. I don’t see many players I’d trade for either of those guys, and if I am letting one go, I certainly am not adding any sweeteners to them besides what’s required to match salaries.
@basketballholic still got it at 90%? I’m optimistic by nature but it looks like we will be shut out of free agency
Kawhi’s power play won’t work. The Spurs aren’t going to give in to him after he sabotaged their season last year. And if he goes to Boston or Philly, he would be on a super team already. Boston could have Kyrie, Hayward, himself, Horford, either Brown or Tatum, and draft picks galore. Not to mention they have Brad Stevens, Pop Jr., as head coach. Let’s say Philadelphia gets him for Saric, Fultz, Covington and the 10th pick. LeBron would clearly commit and you have LeBron, Simmons, Kawhi and Embiid. Or let’s say LeBron chooses the Sixers before a Kawhi trade. The Sixers could trade Simmons for Kawhi and have Kawhi, LeBron, Embiid, Saric, Fultz, Covington, etc. If he gets to the Lakers eventually, it’s because the Lakers opt to retain cap space to offer him a max deal next summer. But in that scenario, he isn’t on a superteam like he would be in Philadelphia or Boston already.
I think only if the Spurs get one of Tatum/Brown another solid player and a pick will they trade Kawhi. Someone needs to make Boston pony up. I also want to say, I love how much everyone is all over Danny Ainge's nutsack despite the fact that all of his success and future team optimism was handed to him on a silver platter by the dumb arse idiot Brooklyn nets.
It takes a good GM to find the dumb arse idiot GM's of the league and exploit them. I mean, that's what Morey did to get Harden after all.
Boston fleeced Brooklyn far more than the Rockets fleeced OKC. Besides, Harden wasn't even a full time starter yet and it was questionable whether or not he could be the main guy on a team. Look back at that Brooklyn/Boston deal and you'll see it was a completely stupid deal by Brooklyn from the beginning. Boston gave up Pierce at 35 years of age, Garnett at 37 years of age, Jason Terry at 36 years of age, and the Nets gave up 3 first round draft picks. Then go look at the numbers of each of those guys during that lone season in Brooklyn...absolutely incredible.
