Damn, what a difference. I don't know if it's the angle or what, but in this pic Yao looks like a gaunt, starving orphan.

Man Yao is big. Check out Yao's lower body compared to Dikembe. Dikembe is listed at 7'2" 265 lbs. and he looks like a stick figure compared to Yao!

Look at those tree trunks though!! Oh my god!! He makes mutombo's legs look like twigs. It's a wonder he can move the way he does because those type of legs can really drag a person down.

Ric Bucher said in an interview that Yao grew an inch taller in the last year so he's officially 7' 6", but with shoes I'm guessing Yao would be around 7'7" or 7'8"

Don't laugh -- he's about the same age as Charlie Ward.

Wow. First time to see yao and deke together in a pic. Yao is HUGE. Thats why so many gms are so envy of the rockets. Huge upside, likable attitude, great teammate, great talent and soon to be the MVP and the MOST DOMINANT PLAYER IN THE GAME, Yao Ming. Next year is only his 3rd year in the league. Yes, TD has achieved much more but we must remember that yao comes in a completely different world. No college basketball experience, friggin coaches in the chinese national team and a poor competition back in china and in asia. I beliv that entering his 4th and 5th season, hes about to break out and crown himself as the BEST PLAYER in the game. Sorry tmac, settle for being number 2. I hope that they complement each other and become one the best 1-2 punch ever, in the tradition of russell-cousy, magic-kareem, jordan-pippen. Not only they were great statistically, but they were also champions, mvps and leaders. As much as i want to include malone and stockton, they have to come fourth by simply not winning a ring. I cant wait till the first game of the season.
