lol i really don't get the whole phobia for "undersized" players. there's a reason we have countless 6'10+ stiffs. you still needs skills to play.
*Jim Rome voice* "Now that kid is special. What a mature young athlete* [long pause] "See, a lot of the veterans in the NBA aren't even mature like this guy. One of the best interviews I've ever had on the show." [long pause] [paper crumbling and gets thrown] "Alright clones...." This is what Jim Rome will say following the interview.
Ariza starts over Battier, and where is Jeffries? His contract isn't going anywhere unless either a trade is made now or at the allstar break. Anywho, I feel very optimistic about this year whether we get Bosh or not after looking at that line up. Yao's health is integral, but I think this is going to be a special year one way or another.
Really pumped about Patterson. I'd really like to see him stay out of any trades the Rox put together in free agency. I think he makes a good back up or 3rd string PF, even though he's. Rookie.
I just came in here because I needed a little break from Bosh...Go Patterson! Alright, back to the free agency chaos.
Was just at the Galleria and saw Mr. Patrick Patterson in front Borders & A'gaci. My wife nudges me and says, "Is that an athlete?" I stand up and hold out my hand, "Welcome to Houston man." He replies, "I appreciate it," and shakes my hand. My wife says, "I always know when its an athlete." LOL! Nice guy who moisturizes his hands very well...but didnt want to ask for a picture. He looked like he needed to get somewhere.
LOL good for your wife I am the same way with football players... basketball players I typically know who they are... football players I can tell they play for the Bengals or whoever is in town, but I have no idea who 90 percent of them are. At least you got to shake his hand and all!
Two thoughts. 1) I thought 5xl tee's & polo's were played out by now and 2) Ive never seen so many diff beautiful women n a city before http://twitter.com/pdpatt Haha, with his second point, he was at the Galleria alright.
Dude actually reads and interacts via his Twitter account. Yesterday, he twittered that he was looking for soul food in Houston. I tweeted: [rquoter] @pdpatt soul food @ http://www.thisisithouston.com [/rquoter] and he came back in like 20 minutes with [rquoter] Picking up some.. This Is It.. Hope it's as good as it smells [/rquoter]
Can't wait till summer league so we get a chance to see him in action. Jordan Hill too, I wanna see what he is working on over the summer.
His friends are on it... much like Kyle Lowry... hence he checks it Edit: dang.. that food sounds really good... I need a Cincinnati This is it!
Yeah he was wearing Rockets red and walking alone. Just wanted to welcome him to Houston to make him feel like he isn't alone and us true fans know who he is. As my wife says, "That was nice of you to welcome him!" I was like, "I didnt know what else to say...haha"
Lol. I actually told him to checkout this is it as well. Five minutes after he asked for a recommendation. Hope he liked it.
