Patrick Patterson. Don't know if I should be excited for us getting another Landry, or disappointed that we didn't get an actual BIG... We'll see how this pans out. However, I still feel like we need a backup to Yao... Somebody taller than 6'10" please.

haha your right, i need to chill....just got my hope up for a blockbuster (trade/move up) something. i should choose my rare posts better
The way some of these scouts are talking about him, I'm beginning to get a big "George Lynch" vibe. It seems like there are a bunch of similarities between Patterson and the North Carolina grad.
I am pretty happy with the Patterson pick. I think if he stays he will fit well with this team. Rockets need to get better defensively and I think he has the maturity and attitude to play where and when he is needed. I think he has a good work ethic and will play hard like the rest of this team. The 7' 1" wingspan is more important that his height. Best player available in my opinion.
Nice to see all of the professional NBA scouts on here giving ther opinion of Patterson already. How he sucks and won't help this team. I guess all these NBA scouts have been scouting him while at Kentucky the past 3 years. Can yall atleast give him some run in summer league to see what he can bring to the team? Oh sorry, I forgot where I was. This is clutchfans where 'knee jerk' is the norm.... It was a solid pick at 14. I trust I'm Morey and his staff.
this happens every draft. Everyone pisses and moans about how awful the draft went, then once the season starts everyone starts overvaluing them.
"Someone you can rely on both on and off the court" It's extremely cool that he understands the importance of acting responsibly in his private life. .
The jury is still out on JT. Dorsey, ok, that didn't work out. But Brooks, Landry, Greene, Budinger?? He hits more than he misses.
The more I hear this kid talk, the more I like the pick. He seems very bright and mature. What do y'all think is better... Chris Bosh with a Max Deal OR Scola/Patterson for a lot cheaper?
Pretty confident, well spoken dude, I like him. I don't understand the whining when it has been said a million times Morey doesn't draft for team needs. We were very lucky he fell to us at 14.
