[1st round Pick] Patrick Patterson - F - Kentucky

I am actually pleased with the pick morey made. Patterson can actually hit the college 3 which might not really translate to the NBA 3 and if he doesn't adjust well, he still has a lot of range. He can space the floor for yao and defend well from the PF position if he ever gets the chance to. Barring any involvement in a trade, patterson was a great value pick for morey and staff. I think he'll be better than landry if given quality minutes.

 

The Rockets need to buy a 2nd round pick. Ebanks is still on the board.

 

Or, draft a PF / C that is taller than 6'11".

I heard the Raptors LOVE Patrick Patterson....why don't we pack him along with some of our assets for Chris Bosh. PERFECTO!!

 

They picked right before us though.

 

I think PP is a great pick at 14. This is the most productive player off a team that had 5 players selected in the 1st round... and we got him at 14.

I wish all the people hating the pick would go ahead and tell us who they would pick so we can make fun of them in 2 seasons.

I like this pick. Patterson reminds me of a 1990's prototypical power forward... Strong, dirty work type of player with some explosive athleticism.
