So the discussion went from Rice vs AJ to AJ vs anyone that can make AJ look better? Looks to me like the homers were losing so they had to compare AJ to other receivers instead.

Actually, Jerry Rice averaged more yards per game than AJ for the first eight years of his career.

I love AJ, but his HOF coat is not guaranteed .

Tim Brown and Chris Carter are NOT in the HOF as we speak.

AJ has never reached 10tds in a season and never been to the playoffs.

Just be objective and remember Texans fans don't have a vote on the ballot.

    Go Texans!

    be objective? OK.

Tim Brown and Chris Carter belong in the Hall of Fame.

Andre is the best WR of his generation. If he continues for a few more years, he belongs in the hall of fame.

There is more to WR than TDs. *sigh*

-Jerry Rice averaged 14.8 yards per reception for his career. (This includes his later years, which clearly brought down his average).

    -AJ has averaged 13.6.

    -AJ's highest yard/reception year has been 15.5.

-Rice's highest yard/ reception year was 20.4.

-Rice also had 2 other years where he averaged over 18 yards per reception.:eek:

did Jerry Rice have a qb that under threw him the ball for half his career. Matt Schaub has a WEAK arm.

Lol. So when did Joe Montana, Steve Young, Jeff Garcia, or Rich Gannon have a rocket for an arm?

First it was Carr's fault, now it's Schaub's. Face it, AJ just isn't as good as Rice.

ummm... how many times have you seen johnson slow down on a deep route in order to stay in a catch-able position with the ball thus allowing the dbs to catch up.

    Y'all are still arguing this.

    Rice is better.

Agreed, but he is like 46 years old now, so Dre has him today.

Reminds me of what us Rockets fans do about the 90s.

I love AJ but I gots to go with JR. I grew up watching JR destroy whoever was defending him. In his prime there was no one who could defend him one on one. But he played in a different era though, and with 2 HOF QBs.. if he had to go up against the competition today who knows what would happen.
