I think Moss in his prime was the most unstoppable WR the league has ever seen.

He'd take 3 plays off, smoke a J at halftime, then beat double coverage down the sideline for 6.

If he had Rice's dedication he would have been the Michael Jordan of football.

    How am I biased?

I am not a Texans fan... and said Rice is the best NFL player ever.

You must not watch much football if you think Fitz is better than AJ.

AJ is a great receiver, BUT taking him over Rice would be sacrilege. Rice had better hands (make just about any catch on the football field), more gamebreaking plays, scored way more touchdowns, and definitely more feared by corner backs. Even the great Deion had his troubles with Rice, during his stints in Atlanta and Dallas, along with a graveyard all pro and very well accomplished corner backs.

22 TDs in 12 games for receivers NEVER happen. Even in today's era of offense, I couldn't pick one receiver who I think could do that. Not even Randy Moss at his best.

I'm not even sure I would take AJ over Moss, Alworth (arguably the greatest set of hands ever vs. Rice), Don Hutson, and Tim Brown. Cris Carter.

AJ is going to get alot of hype on here ,because this is a Houston board.

TD isn't the entire story, but it's how Rice got touchdown and yards, which was basically from all over the field. The biggest area I think separates Rice from AJ and most receivers, yards after catch. Even though the stat only became official in 94 (maybe). Yards after catch is certainly not something you can gain from being in a great system alone.

Yeah its not like I win fantasy football champion's leagues or NFL survivor competitions. I must not know ****.

Funny, because for the last 3 years people were ranking AJ and Fitz as 1a and 1b.

Fitz has one "mediocre" season and suddenly he's ****e and AJ is Rice status?

    Get the **** outta here.

Now, just imagine if Larry Fitz had that kind of Carr-esqe QB play for the first 4 years of his career.

Things being even, understandable to choose Andre Johnson based on physical tools being the differentiator.

Then on second thought on Andre, it is remarkable that he's been able to be as consistently productive on a high level as he has, despite all the CRAP put around on and off the field with the busted franchise he's playing with. Lesser receivers like Steve Smith in Carolina, their numbers can suffer as a result of mediocre team management and product.

Not to mention his own nagging injuries he's played through. Since Andre isnt vocal, no telling how many ailments he's kept to himself.

On the TD thing one last time: Those saying TDs don't count though, as mentioned already Larry Fitzgerald had his same productivity last year but only a paltry amount of TDS. And all of a sudden its Fitzgerald has disappeared off the globe not getting talked about. That means punching it into the endzone DOES matter toward credibility.

    Lulz.

Using the same argument to discredit Fitzgerald and excuse Johnson.

    Typical homer ****.

I have no problem when somebody says AJ is the best WR in the league, but faulty arguments are pretty hilarious.

    Not sure if serious.

Larry had Josh McCown and Matt Leinart before Warner resurrected himself.

you are right, the TD argument is pointless. SO why did you use it to show Fitz is better?

If there is even an argument between AJ vs Fitz. Then there is no f'n way you could choose AJ over Rice!

AJ had two back 2 back 1500yds seasons , but still did not reach 10tds. He is getting the catches and the yards , but the TDs are not there.

AJ is not better than Randy Moss or Chris Carter .

Love AJ, but he is no Rice.

Actually I think it's funny that the last 3 years the arguments have been AJ vs Fitz...then AJ vs Austin, and now it's AJ vs White. With an underlying AJ vs Megatron for a while as well.

Fitz didn't start getting mentioned with AJ until the Super Bowl run with Warner though.(and he was great that play-off run, don't get me wrong)

On this site....its only been AJ vs Fitz in real football terms.

When you reach 1500 yds twice , but cant reach 10tds you can only blame yourself.
