1999 Draft: Rockets wanted Posey or Artest

    Hey we did turn Francis into Tmac and Francis was the good luck charm when we won the lottery.

    if we drafted artest in 99, then we wouldnt have acquired yao, tracy, battier, etc...we would be in a totally different boat...and guess what, we are sitting pretty right NOW...So I would have to say we have done real well in parlaying our past into a great present and possibly future.

    That's just some guy at the Chronicle picking players based on a signle quote by Carroll Dawson. It doesn't say Rockets wanted Posey or Artest.

    Or if it does, we also wanted Michael Ruffin, Cal Bowlder and Quincy Lewis. Too bad we didn't draft those all-stars. :rolleyes:

    Francis turned into Yao cause we didn't make the playoffs before.

    Breaking two of Michael Jordan's ribs for one...it takes big ones to go after Jordan in a pick up game. The story goes Jordan was making rounds at belittling everyone on the court in typical Jordan fashion only he made the assumption that Artest would laugh it off like everyone else who cowered in Jordan's presence. WRONG. Artest tackled Jordan and broke a few ribs which you may remember delayed his comeback attempt with the Wizards.
