HUh, what is so funny about 1999 class. Look at the players: All Stars: Francis, Brand, B. Davis, Wally, Marion, Artest, AK47 Borderline All stars: Andre Miller, Odom, R. Hamilton very Good players, solid NBA starters: J. Terry, C. Maggete, Posey, K. Thomas It is as good as 1996, if not better.
LOL it is funny Them compared to: Iverson Shareef Abdur-Rahim Marbury Ray Allen Antoine Walker Kobe Peja Steve Nash Jermaine O'Neal Ilgauskas I'd take this team over the '99 Class without question.
TEAM 1 Iverson (SG) Marbury (PG) Ray Allen (SG/SF) Shareef Abdur-Rahim (PF) Ilgauskas (C) ----------------------- TEAM 2 Kobe (SG) Steve Nash (PG) Peja (SF) Antoine Walker (PF) Jermaine O'Neal(PF/C) ----------------------- Guess which team will win!
How can you compare these guys with the '96 class? '84 class is full of legends who carried the NBA to the heights of its popularity and future members of the HOF while the '96 class is full of really really good players who with the exception of Kobe haven't won any titles. I understand they have only played 8 years and still have a ways to go but I don't think you can put Marbury, Ray Allen and others in the same sentence as Jordan, Hakeem, Barkley and stockton. Peace.
