I was listening to a Bill Simmons podcast with the director of the ESPN 30 for 30 documentary about June 17, 1994.

The director mentions that during the interval when they cut away to show the OJ car chase, a bench clearing brawl broke out involving Charles Oakley and some Rockets players he couldn't remember. The footage was never shown on TV and the NBA would not give it to him.

Does anyone remember any details of this event? Bill Simmons knew nothing about it.

I dont think "brawl" is the right description...i dont recall it very well, but i think it was something minor.

In the Clutch City DVD they had the full 7 games of the series including the game when they switched to the OJ Simpson chasing. So someone has to check it to see how bad was this brawl.

The OJ game was game 5.

I bought the DVDs to see game 5 in its entirety. We lost that game. I bought it like three years ago, and I've only made it to game 3.

I doubt that the NBA would put that part of the game in though.

    Could be wrong.

Hmm...you guys inspired me. I'm watching Game 5 now.

So far in the second quarter, Dream hits Anthony Mason with an elbow and there's some pushing and shoving, but nothing I could consider a brawl. It must be coming later...

Yep they have that part on it, but in the part when they switched to OJ chase, there is no one commenting the game, and its silent, so it easy to recognize that part.

It's pretty stupid that Pontel only have the version with all the OJ footage...yet I still paid full beans...even for a Rockets loss...

3:50 was a clean block by hakeem but the elbow at the end looks a little suspect. it was a physical series though. not like the knicks weren't pullin sh!+ themselves. it was a Pat Riley team after all.

    thanks for posting the vid.
