Look what I found on E-Bay. For at least $9000 you can own a 1994 Championship Ring. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2744040116&category=25165
My stepfather bought one at a charity auction in 1995 for $25,000. I doubt this one will go anywhere close.
Does it say "Champ City" across the bottom or "Chump City"? Either way, why doesn't it say "Clutch City"?
You bring up a great point. Just yesterday I had to contact ebay because someone had hacked into my account (probably a virus that records keystrokes, thus getting my password), changed my e-mail address to his, with a similar name (greatly misspelled), and deciede to start selling items that didn't exist. i.e.: An Apple Powerbook for $2500 and a Minolta digital camera for $600. They apparently were attempting to get the bidder to send them the money and have me deal with the mess. Ebay tech support sucks, but they came through this time! All in all, I genuinely believe this is a legitimate item.
I've seen the 94-95 one on a website for $2500. This guy is not getting close to Nine grand for that thing.
i have one of those rings they gave to the fans and that's definitely not one of those rings. that looks real to me, but anything can be forged.
