that may be, but w 42 seconds and a timeout left plus the fact that UH was picking up 10 yards at a time pretty easily there was NO reason to call that play.
EC was just better. Bad passes, dropped passes, missed PAT's, poor defense. Too many mistakes by Houston.
They got all the breaks, all the calls and we still had a chance at winning at the end... and then they get another break... Ugh.
I called ECU winning this one (as well as the UCF loss). UH finishes with a pretty pedestrian 3 losses in C-USA.
I'd say the teams were about even. ECU got a few more calls in their favor (mainly the too many players on the field non-call in the first half).
The long ball is not UH's game, don't know why Keenum would attempt that with lots of time on the clock.
Perfectly set up for another miracle comeback and oh so close. Really a shame, a whole season rides on a tipped ball. Wow. I didn't know about playing Arkansas in the Liberty Bowl anyway, they have been really coming on strong toward the end of the season. That would have been a tough one; ECU might get killed. In the final analysis, defense wins championships and the lack of defense loses championships. That last stand was great to give the Coogs a chance, but the rest of the game was awful. Way too easy for ECU. Wish list for next season: A DEFENSE AND A KICKER.
At least bigtexx went to Rice, astros148 claims he's a UH student but lol's the Coogs after every loss.
And a pedestrian CUSA West title, and a pedestrian bowl game, and a pedestrian 10-wins, and a pedestrian 2010 Heisman candidate, and a pedestrian amount of top 25 rankings, and a pedestrian 73-14 ass kicking of Rice... and a blah blah blah troll troll troll.
sorry, but UH looked very mortal on the road this season. I think we can agree that the early season hype was a little over done. I'm not sure the SEC will come a-knockin'...
Bigtexxx with a very pedestrian trolling performance today, waiting til the buzzer was his undoing. Should have started earlier in the game to build up more cred. Anti-trolling heisman moment.
UH had a solid season. Next year should be fun with games at UCLA and Texas Tech and hosting games versus Navy and Mississippi State. This team is very young and should be a preseason top 25 next year.
Heading up to Pub Fiction for the UT-Nebraska game in a few. Come on up. (And I will be rooting for Nebraska)
