The republicans will never omit that Obama feels this way because everyone that supports him will not feel this way. But that's just a fact and reality of life. All of his supporters are not politicians, but are citizens that have a right to vote on whatever issue or reasons that they choose. Individual voters and non affiliated supporters are free to pursue whatever knowledge about either candidates that make them comfortable voting for whomever they want.

Obama needs to stay above the fray. It's the people that need to make this an issue. The GOP preaches abstinence and is against gay rights for America....what hypocrites when their own children don't follow the same message. Don't tell me and my fellow Americans what to do! Take care of your own freaking kids first!!! We don't need a soccer mom with "real life" experience in the second highest position in America. That isn't change. That's dumb. We don't need McCain...he's almost been in Congress longer than Biden. We need Obama, a man who is versed on national and world issues, and a relative newcomer on the political scene. If he doesn't deliver change, we vote him out in four years. We know what McCain will do. We had 8 years of Bush. McCain is Bush 90% of the freaking time. My goodness America wake up!

Remember our current VP Dick Cheney has a daughter who is lesbian, and despite that turning into some story about how he doesn't talk to her and then started to due to criticism (though I have no idea how much of of those reports were true or just media-gone-wild), it did not hurt the Bush-Cheney campaign. This will not really affect the election.
Many times humor is starkly facing reality so that the denying of it provides a welcome relief from dread. Both the teller and the listener know tragicness of the real truth and would never act contrary to the best interest of those effected. The people that have to face reality can't be consumed by it. Chelsea was not a handsome young lady at the time the joke was told. We all had high hopes she would mature like a swan but there was no basis for hope at the time.
