Why does the Bar Association Code of Ethics prevent lawyers from sleeping with their clients?

So the client doesn't get billed twice for the same service.

You would still have a federal tax to support the military. Regions would be responsible for their own social welfare programs though.

This would cut federal tax immensely.

Regions like the deep south would be in trouble yes, but they have advocated reducing federal gov't and this would certainly do it. However, they would have to figure out how to avoid falling into poorer conditions without federal support for entitlement programs and highways.

This is a wonderful theoretical exercise you're having here, but in all practicality it's nuttier than a ****ing fruitcake.

Regardless of tax schemes and social programs, I literally mean what currency would each region be using? Would it still be the dollar? If so, would each region be in control over printing money when they need it? That's essentially the difference between the US and EU. If each region can't print money, then basically I see some regions becoming like Greece did during the financial crisis and becoming unstable. Without stability, war will eventually breakout between regions. If you infuse regions with money, you have a similar system but less unified than we have now.

No, because the instant this became an actual possibility global markets would crash and the dollar would be worthless, well maybe not in Zimbabwe or Venezuela. Once it became a reality the Earth would enter into a decade-plus-long Depression and Constant War. At that point, the people who have been hording shiny minerals would finally come out on top.....Oh, no they won't because the only things that will matter will be clean food and water and shelter and protection.

Then the survivors will all end up like

You'd keep the federal reserve system and the dollar. You aren't splitting the country into separate nations, just creating regions with more autonomy as a means to regionalize laws and governance.

On a world stage the US can act as one country - people still are free to move around the US (just like the EU). The difference is that you would have a more functional legislative branch without the horrendous gridlock and polarization.

The system is as vulnerable and as strong as the people running it. A few more key MAGA loyalist in a few states that is willing to bend or break the law and all hell break loose.

Nah, mortality rates. A lot of Trump's core is on the steep downside of the MAGA life expectancy curve, especially with this anti-vax anti-mask culture they have going. Four years is a loooonnngg time for them. He's the same demo, too, so we don't even know if he can make it four years or just go full loser.
