Hopefully he goes to prison now. As for stepping up, nobody had to go fight him, but I guarantee that least one person in there was his friend and could jump in there and just say "hey man, it's not worth it. You'll get in too much trouble over this old lady."
Yeah because there would be no retaliation for that.... It's easy to criticize, but if I was in that situation, I would likely just froze in shock until the teacher got pushed to the ground. Then I would likely call for help. It also happened real fast.
I totally agree with what you said! After reading everyone's comments, I've come to the conclusion that we are not seeing the forest because of the trees! There have been several comments about "no one" standing up for the elderly lady, but in the video it's clear that there is a least 6-10 students in the classroom! Why then are we only commenting on the lack of one individual coming to her rescue vs "the group" of students that where there? It says a lot about us when we only expect 1-2 to come in and help, shouldn't we expect everyone there to help? Unfortunately this is exactly where we are as a society, we are programmed not to get involved, and yet we are astonished when no one comes to help us in our time of need! The truth is, in most cases, your will only get involved when it directly affects you! When it's your mother,or son, or wife then you will jump into the fire, but as far as everyone else, "to each his own". Sadly, it's a sign of the times! I'm not saying they are wrong by doing this, but are they right? I would not encourage any student to get physical with another student, UNLESS it was in self defense. What I was saying was, is that if all the students would of said something to make him understand that what he is doing is wrong instead of looking and being inactive participants, this lady would not of been thrown to the ground. ....... ....... .......

Disagree. Woman could have broken a hip, or even been killed. She was thrown to the ground right by a desk and those stupid high school chairs. Getting severely hurt would not be out of question.
