Yahoo sports keeps putting UH in the Fenway Bowl against 6-6 Boston College. That is ridiculous. If that is the only offer, I hope UH turns it down. I want to play Texas A&M.
Because there is no pecking order in the AAC bowl affiliations. The athletic department, conference brass, and bowl officials hash it all out individually. I can assure you that Houston has no interest in playing an ACC team in Fenway. Birmingham is a lot closer to Houston and the 8th/9th best SEC team will garner a lot more interest with the Houston fanbase. The AAC has the following bowl teams to seat besides UH and CInci: UCF ECU (Military) Tulsa SMU Memphis (Hawai'i) My best guess is that UCF goes to Fenway. Everything else is really up in the air.
The selection committee is threatening us, saying that if Holgerson leaves us vacant as coach, they have the right to put us in the Championship series on that alone. The threats are real.
Kinda reminds me of the time the Golden Eagles broke my dreams right in front of my face. I'm hoping for that what comes around goes around medicine. Go Coogs
As the game approaches I really don't know what to expect. It could be a cliff hanger, a blow out (of either team) or a complete shocker. I would think it will be hard fought and close, and as always, turnovers will likely decide it. The way UC blew out SMU is concerning. The Coogs struggled with SMU. All I know for sure is that I don't want the Coogs to accept a bid to the Fenway Bowl against 6-6 Boston College. That would be insulting. Yahoo sports is convinced that is where they are going. According to them, all the teams that UH beat are going to better bowls with better opponents. The Yahoo writers are not the sharpest tools in the shed.
Didn't realize Cincy has struggled so much in the kicking game, and UH loves to block kicks. Add in Marcus Jones and the Coogs have a huge ST edge. Can Cincy run the ball today? Read that their starting RB is healthy again after being banged up a bit but UH defense is stout in that regard. Sucks that this is on the same time as Bama/Georgia...anyone know of a good site to stream college games? I'm not at my usual multi-TV house, so I need to put one on the PC.
