    Nah... more coffee! More coffee!!

James has been in a slump, is hopefully breaking out of it, is also getting used to Adelman's offense, and didn't get to play with the team last season, an advantage that, IMO, helped Alston early. Alston is the very definition of an inconsistent shooter, and a shooter who chucks up his own poor decisions far too often. James has had to adjust to an evolving role, even more evolving with Francis now getting minutes. Alston is still hanging on to what he's done here for what feels like 2 or 3 hundred years. As has been repeated many, many times, and it is a fact, Alston will have a couple of good games offensively, and then go into an extended slump. Based on history, it doesn't stop him from tossing up 3's that clank and the god-awful, heart attack from frustration tear drops that he can't help driving us nuts with.

Alston is a good backup point. He'd be even better backing up another team's point guard, IMO, but if he stays here, having the competition is good. I hope we settle on another starter by the break. Whoever that is. In the meantime, thank goodness James is back. He is a major asset to a position that killed us last season.

ding-ding-ding... we have winners. You can tell when someone goes from not liking a player's game to outright wanting them to fail.

    Says <a href="http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=129421">Mr. Laid Back</a>.

now come on man... his threes usually don't "clank". It's more like the wind blowing by on a warm summer day as the air ball goes bouncing into the netherlands...

My wife is half Dutch. I take great umbrage with your description of Alston's misses from Downtown!

As if the Dutch don't have enough to worry about. North Sea storms, global warming, holes in the dikes (or the dykes in the Red Light District)... now they have to constantly look up for Rafer's assault on their country.

    The humanity!! :(

Not to mention the Dutch/German chocolate wars of 1735...

    Sorry!

on the upside - I feel somewhat vindicated by the fact this thread has one whole star on a "trade T-mac" thread and two solid stars above "let's get Steve Nash in the year 2025"

Well, I will take your apology under consideration. I was quite offended. It took dragging my mother-in-law's wooden shoes out of my wife's closet and buffing them up to get me to calm down. The horror is that Rafer will ruin whatever peace I have tonight. Sometimes, life simply isn't fair.

And events have proven the Dutch victorious in the Chocolate Wars, except in the matter of cake. The famous line, "Let them eat their damned chocolate cake, the bloody fools... may they choke on it!" spoken by a Dutch general at the time, who's name has been lost to history, was later stolen by Marie Antoinette, who botched the phrase, as she botched so much during her brief life, the creature.

I can't wait for the "32 games into the season..." MJ thread.

    Later,
    King

    Cheers,
