I am now concerned about the Atalanta terror attack that Spicer has mentioned on multiple occasion. Is he talking about the 1996 Olympic pipe bombing committed by an American non-Muslim terrorist? Or is he talking about East Bowling Green?

IT isn't polite to ask a question until you've answered the one asked of you.

Here's a great example of media bias. This has nothing to do with Trumps order but that's not how it's presented. You only find out much later in the article (not in the video at all!) that it goes back to 2013 long before Trump was in office. I'm not sure how you can be so upset and Trump for his "lies" but turn the other way for crap like this.

OP article is dumb, for a variety of reasons.

    1. Some of these stories I've never heard of, as others have mentioned. That makes for ineffective fake news. And, it quotes retweets and posts in the thousands, and I'm supposed to be impressed with that? For comparison, Trump's tweets reproaching GM for manufacturing in Mexico were retweeted 21 million times in an hour: http://www.chicagotribune.com/news/...rump-tweets-twitter-facts-20170108-story.html

    2. Some of these stories were mistakes driven by scoop-oriented journalism. I think this is a fair criticism. With the 24 hours news cycle and the pressure to outscoop the competition, journalism has become too quick to publish without vetting. The MLK bust story is of this species. I wouldn't really call it 'fake news', but maybe 'negligently shoddy news.' Calling mistaken or wrong news 'fake news' doesn't show any appreciation for what real fake news looks like (and intends to accomplish). We've had this problem for longer than Trump has been in politics, and it is rather nonpartisan too. They are corrected, but allegedly the corrections aren't as widely publicized. That may be true in general. In the case of the MLK bust story, I knew the story was wrong before I knew the story itself.

    3. But, most of these complaints are about interpretations of stories, and not at all about being wrong in the facts. One story was about an inference a journalist took of a veiled threat against Mexico. This writer doesn't say any facts were made up or gotten wrong, but complains that it implied (but didn't explicitly state either) a narrative he didn't think was right. The narrative may in fact be completely wrong, but it is in a journalist's wheelhouse to think of the bigger picture and help his readership understand what he thinks is really happening and why.

    4. Now for my own interpretations. There's a reason we're seeing so many of these media stories attacking the media as fake news. Republicans know the free press leans liberal and is a powerful enemy of the Trump Administration, and the Republican agenda by extension. They can use the paid press to just keep beating and beating on the credibility of the press to soften the resistance the media can put up against the coming changes.

Fox News retracts its fake news online, regarding Seth Rich,

while the ignorant Hannity keeps pushing the conspiracy.

It's been a case of the ignoranus leading sheeps like RocketLegend

FoxNews.com originally posted a May 16 piece headlined “Slain DNC staffer had contact with WikiLeaks, investigator says.” The story relied on a report by D.C.'s Fox 5 and Rod Wheeler, a former D.C. homicide detective and Fox News contributor, for its sourcing.

The story soon fell apart / Wheeler backtracked , he told the network

“he had no evidence to suggest Rich had contacted Wikileaks before his death.”
Through a spokesperson, Rich’s family asked on May 17 for “a retraction and an apology from Fox News and from the Fox 5 DC affiliate for inaccurate reporting and damaging the legacy of their son."

Six days later, Fox News has finally retracted its story.
