My family and friends aren't even asking me back for this money, why should i go get a loan and pay them back right? I know what you mean man, but its just me... you guys can call me r****ded or whatever but I have a big heart and not a day goes by that I don't feel bad.
If they're not expecting it back from you, save it up on your own and pay them back two or three years from now. Suck it up with the whole "Woe is me, I'm in pain because my family and friends are so nice to me and give me money."
WOW. This is kind of like paying a credit card with a credit card. If your family/friends arent requiring you to pay them back but you really want to, it shouldn't matter how fast you do it. Just give them monthly payments or wait until you have the full amount All you're going to do if you get a loan is end up not saving the extra 150-200 a month, and get something taken from you by the bank. You're obviously no good with money, so why put the little belongings you have at risk by getting a bank loan where you're required to pay so much every month?
This brings up a good point- why pay interest to pay your family off? Just figure out what your loan payment would be and pay it to them instead. I borrowed $8k from my uncle a while back. I set up an auto-payment every month on the first so I could pay him off in two years. So budget what you can afford, and then set up autopayments to your friends/family. One at a time or all at once, although I would start at the highest debt and work my way down.
person-to-person loans? cashcall.com? pawn shop/ebay? Seriously, while it might appear you're being the compassionate type thinking loved ones first, it at all still comes across a little too self obsessed and a bit stubborn. The thing with FAMILY is sometimes when you act on good faith and get halfway-75% through they might actually call off the remainder of the balance...its "cheap", but wouldnt that kinda be the validation you need? They're trying to help you, they're not INVESTING in you. I'd suggest pick the certain family members most likely to raise any kind of stink about wanting to get money back, and starting paying them back a minimal amount. The others you get to later. And you can take a noticeable chunk off the balance before you have to beg a lender.
you're asking why you cant get a loan to pay people back, because you cant save money to pay them back yourself, one at a time. Oh, and birthdays are "so hard"....righhhtttt....and i'm the one that needs to be thinking
Why do you always ask for advice but then go against everything everyone tells you here? I can already imagine the next thread you'll create: "Guys, I'm about to lose my home, what should I do?"
Yeah, I COULD make the payments, but then how would I pay my family members back that aren't requiring me to pay them back right away? Signed, Lukkky
Something tells me that if your family was generous enough to GIVE you the money in the first place, they are going to allow you pay them back at your own pace without expecting too much. Why would you jeopardize your credit, your belongings, and your finances simply because you "feel bad"? It makes zero sense to me as to why you would swap out one for the other. Also, why would any bank give you $15,000 if you're clearly already in financial trouble? If I were you, I would just thank God that I have a great family who's willing to help me when I need it, rather than pushing the envelope even further and taking a loan I probably wouldn't be able to pay back.
Dude's probably got a gambling problem and owes his bookie(s) 15k. In this scenario, sell everything you can get your hands on, sell your car, buy a beater, and pay them off pronto. If it's really family, you work out a monthly payment plan and just do automatic billpays out of your checking account. Just give them the interest you would've given the bank had you taken out a loan.
But you do believe in LucKKK? And psychics? Do you really want 300 Klan toddlers running around, committing pretend insurance fraud with their Big Wheels?
Regardless of whether or not it is a wise decision for you to get a $15k loan, I think it is admirable that you are looking to put yourself at risk in order to pay back debts from your family and friends. Too often family and friends lend money and get the short end of the stick when it comes to repayment. That being said, NEVER lend money to a family or friend. Give it to them instead and if they choose to pay you back - great, if not, treat it as a gift.
Borrowing from family and friends is the worst type of loan for me. Sure they're flexible and they're likely not to ask for it when they see you, but you can bet they resent you each passing day that they haven't gotten their money
I was looking for a personal loan about 2-3 months ago and all the banks I asked said that they do not do personal loans anymore...My options were: 1. Get a credit card with a high line of credit 2. Go to a credit union I already had some cards with 15K limit so I just used the balance transfer checks - that worked out well because now I have 1.99% APR for 12 months and then its just 7.99% after that.
whats new i post something and explain and you guys always think im full of it hahaha.. anyways, what im trying to say is my friends and family might even need the money but does not want to tell me.. i dont want to go on explaining to you guys every little detail why i am trying to get this money so bad, exp: my parents fight alot because of money, because my dad just got laid off couple of weeks ago and they are not rich, they helped me out with a chunk of money.. stuff liek that I will not post on here to show you guys why i need this money. All i asked was whats the best way to get a 15k loan... not hey guys im in debt please say something to make me feel better about my self pleaseeee.. lol you guys are too funny. When it comes to money, each person have a different feeling about it, even if its your family or friends. they might not say anything but their feelings towards you become different. I go out to eat and I feel guilty.. So final words: I rather owe the bank and lose interest money than oweing my family and friends. If you can't understand that then blow it out your arse ahhahahah Thanks for all the advice though guys, I said it when i created this thread, i am going to get attack for posting this but hey all these little advice good or bad is really helpful
I'm perplexed as to how you were able to buy a house and a luxury car in the first place if you're having trouble coming up with $15K? The best course for you is to live a frugal life for a few years and straighten out your finances. Good luck. <object width="512" height="296"><param name="movie" value="http://www.hulu.com/embed/J4vJO8oTo5zAO0QrO_sbLQ"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><embed src="http://www.hulu.com/embed/J4vJO8oTo5zAO0QrO_sbLQ" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowFullScreen="true" width="512" height="296"></embed></object>
