Show is at 9am -- if you have any topics you'd like to hear discussed, please post them in this thread. Thanks ...
We could actually win it ALL ... now THAT's worth talking about ... ... we could draft right into the lead. ... and actually peak perfectly. I think its very interesting that Sacramento will probably determine who the winner will be, with their remaining games with LA and the Spurs.
The whole if NO and LA and Houston win out, that Hou will have the #1 seed by virtue of the 3 team tie breaker rules. It seems that way to me, since even though NO wins the division, that only guarantees them a top 4 seed. That takes care of the part about determining division winners.
how will we finish the last 3 games? will we be in the 5th seed? who is currently our best first round match up? i'm hoping we go 2-1, lock up HCA and get a rematch with the jazz. though they may not be the best opponent to face in the first round, we have enough members left on this team from last year to want revenge, and enough new piece that we could actually do it. also, if we win in the first round we would potentially face one of these four teams in the 2nd round: the lakers, hornets, nuggets, warriors. call me crazy, but i would like to play any of those over a series against the spurs, mavs, or suns. san antonio could still end up with the number one seed, and in which case i will regret getting what i wished for.
Seconded. That is a crazy scenario that's even more likely now that the Hornets lost to the Sacramento Spoilers.
You'll have to let me know what people say about this if it's brought up. I'm in Seattle on Pacific time, and I am not getting up that early tomorrow...
Hey guys! just wanna ask a quick question about Shane's status tonight, is he still questionable? Thanks!
Hey guys, Another question from rainy Edinburgh - Irrespective of what the rockets are gonna accomplish in the playoffs, which aspect of this season do you think the rockets are gonna look back upon and say 'That's gonna benefit us the most for years to come.' Is it, a). Rick A turns out to be a very good fit for the team, b). Rookies' strong showing, esspecially discovering a gold mine in Carl Landry, c). getting rid of Mike James puts us in a favourable position in terms of salaries/contract for the offseason d). team can win (and win and win) without Yao or T-mac (to a certain extent) e). a fantastic team chemistry, or in Battier's word "For the first time in my career, I think we have a group of guys that share my beliefs about playing together and playing tough." f). other Many Thanks
Blue Brick - Edinburgh Scotland in the house? How is it you became a Rockets fan? I have written in the past that in the past that the Rockets had the fewest rookie contracts, so important in this day and age of the salary cap that you have a number of good players that you are paying rookie contracts. B is the most important to me.
My friend's dad used to play for the scottish national team, and he had loads of NBA tapes in his house. I always like basketball so I borrow some and it was a couple of rockets games they played in 1986. I watched, loved it and have been a fan ever since. But it's weird to be a basketball fan in Scotland because nobody is remotely interested. Thank god for internet, I say!
Ooops, I slept in and missed the show...dang it, had some topics to discuss as well. Show was probably better off without me though. RATS !! DD
I'd love to hear what local fans are saying about the Lakers-Hornets-Rockets three way tie scenario. Is there a link to the show or does any care to fill the rest of us in on what was said?
