this was posted on clutch's article:

Even when Rafer Alston missed 6 games this season, Francis never sniffed the court. The Rockets were unhappy with Francis' dedication to the team from nearly Day 1 as he regularly missed workouts and, at times, practices.

didn't hear much about francis missing workouts and practices, but it seem like its insinuating that it was more than just injuries.

SF3....good guy. Damn management and coach did not even give him a single sec on the court....completely ignoring the "we want steve" chants...

This sucks, but oh well. I like Francis, and I think he meant a lot to this franchise even know he never really took us anywhere. We gave up what ultimately was very little to get him, and he played his heart out for us and brought us back to the playoffs. Then he helped us get McGrady when we traded him. I just wish this second tour had worked out better.

Good luck Stevie! You brought some excitement to the post-Hakeem years. Too bad we stuck you with Mo Taylor and Shandon Anderson in the starting lineup.

    Ironic.

But giving up Memphis' 2nd rounder too? If Deke doesn't resign, I'll sure be pissed.

I really can't guage the move until I see what we do with the new cap space. If we gave up a high 2nd rounder just to avoid Les paying some tax money, then the move is bs. If we sign someone that can actually contribute then it may be worthwhile.

Having no picks in 2009 sucks. Maybe the team doesn't want to add any additional salary because they want to sign Artest and have more money in 2010?

if he can even get on the court. he'll probably be dumped by memphis.

the only sad part about this is that we got rid of a high 2nd rounder.
