Steve didnt get a chance to play because he didnt care or want to. When you constantly miss practice workouts etc and begin to be a team cancer.. and still expect to get minutes over players who actually give a damn, you get traded to the memphis grizzlies for 3 used basketballs.
oh my god, steve did nothing. what a ball of distraction and confusion he was. who cares, peace. good luck with him rejuvenating himself... if he looks good in memphis...well then silly us. but i don't think it's that huge of deal.
hope steve get 25 minutes and plays well. this could either completely crush him or really motivate him. but now that his boy cat is out the L maybe hell follow him out. what an end to the carreers of the backcourt that kept us fans in the dark years of the franchise.
I wish Steve would have made it with us, but he obviously has nothing left in the tank. Onward and Upward Rockets.
We all wanted him to do well. We all want every player wearing a rockets uni to do well. Just didn't work.
On one hand, the circumstances of his signing and now his trade feels dirty. On the other, I wouldn't want his contract on our books if/when he retires.
Les was desperate to get under the LT. They did trade with the Kings to get Artest too. It's possible that the Grizzlies were the only team willing to take Francis.
Looks like Doc Rocket turned out right. Although I hate losing next year's second rounder, I'm sure Morey will work his magic at the draft to bring in another pick. I'm glad we started the beginning stages to bringing a backup center on the roster. I wish Steve well but I've been ready to move on.
