Because this trade wouldn't give us a good pg, there is still no pg who can pass the ball to Yao. Plus, Amare doesn't play defense, and Yao have to do all dirty works for him.

That's b/c shaq did not get double teamed....When Yao gets double teamed, he can find Amare for the wide open dunk

    I don't think Amare's defense could be worse thanT-Mac's.
Apparently Amare's offensive ability is underrated by some guys.

This deal is for getting PF/C that can help the team. TMac and Brooks would be in the deal and Rockets can also get Barbosa or Rich. Brooks did play well but he is not a starter or true pg, he is more of a sg that should be coming off the bench. Either way I am glad to know that Morey will get the team ready before the season starts and not wait till the trading deadline to make a deal that will help the team get to the finals.

Oh well sorry haha :) I didnt mean to send out the wrong info. Im not very good at recapping but thanks for the info and update. And could you perhaps confirm something without leaking or telling anything? Its becoming like a debate but would Scola be included in a deal for Amare? If you cant answer without revealing anything else, thats ok. Thanks again.

I disagree partially with the Brooks comment.

He does have starter talent. But you are right he is not a true PG.

Dude he plays PF.. different positions .. you cannot compare..

and it is easier to cover up defensive mistakes made on the perimeter..

on the post .. its a different story..

If Brooks has been traded to the suns, who would we use to trade for the pick? Landry? If so, it means we would lose both Landry+Scola, and Brooks and Tmac. Plus, we are not sure we can resign Artest yet. Actually, this whole thing would mean the rockets are in rebuilding mode!

Yes, Landry is being shopped for a pick which then we would take a PG. Brooks is then moved in a deal with Phoenix. And I'm still waiting confirmation from Clutch if Scola would be included in such a deal.

When was Scola mentioned? He could be a possibility but I remember them talking about Brooks and Tmac in the trade. So many people freaking out like it the end of all humanity already  .

I don't think we are trading Scola (just a viewpoint).. we need someone to back up Amare.. Landry is on the way out mostly.. So we will have Yao.. Scola.. Shane.. front court

back court-- Lowry.. Artest (assuming Shane plays SF) and the draft pick (PG)..

Trade for Amare automatically puts Scola coming off the bench. We tried that once before and if my memory serves me correctly, it didn't go too well. He also stated he didn't like coming off the bench.

This jeopardizes our ability to sign him in the future as well.

If we can do it for just T-Mac, then I'm all for it.

If Scola is in the deal, then it is the end of all humanity. In my opinion, lol.

Even Scola is not included in this deal. He would be a backup.
My beloved rockets team is dead!

Dont quote me on this but in the interview they asked what the potential lineup would be and if I remember right, they said:

    Lowry - PG
I want to say whoever we got in the trade, at worst Artest. - SG
    Battier - SF
    Stoudemire - PF
    Yao - C

Scola and Artest off the bench. Draft pick backing up lowry and Stoudemire moves to the 5 when Yao goes out. Again dont quote me on this but something similar.
