He can't speak to players under contract on other teams. Only give parameters of what they are looking for and how they wish to pursue it. ie - trades, mle, draft

There is an interview of Daryl Morey on Sports Radio 610 this morning. It's available to listen in the archives.

I doubt he says anything we don't already know. It hasn't even been a week since we lost.

Looks like he's looking for a guy or two who can slash and get to the basket to put pressure on defense. Says that's where the rockets were lacking with only T-Mac who could do that and also hopes that Francis might come back healthy to help them in that department. Says they will probably have to get what they are looking for through a trade. There's alittle more but didnt have time to listen to the rest of interview.

That line was music to my ears. Morey was going "I'm not allowed to say anything" but after the beginning bit all I heard was "Luther Head freaking stinks and needs to pack his bags". Pietrus, Chris Douglas-Roberts, Courtney Lee, hell Gerald Green, here we come!

Nice to hear that he still believes in Francis just like his fans do! :D

Yeah, it's unbelievable to me that he would even mention the name. Surely the guy's career is over, but maybe he knows something we don't know, or is smoking something we don't know... or is dangling trade bait?

I could be wrong, but personally I think Francis's career is pretty much over. It would be a huge plus if he were to come back healthy with his ability to get to he hole, but so much of his game was centered around his athletism and if loses that he won't help the rockets rotation.

i wouldnt give up on francis just yet, he is here for another year if he choose on the cheap. the guy just had a surgery he probably should have had years ago he may come back better than he was the past couple of years, but not as good as his first go through here in houston.

i am pulling for him to come through he probably could have been our best defender on williams this year if he was healthy
