I'll never be tired of Clutch City.

However, I'm tired of Crutch City.

Yeah, i remember finishing up at swt, packing up my stuff and bailing for 2 weeks and chillin in houston. When game 3 and 4 was in houston, the city was in a fever pitch. You could smell the banner before it came down.

On a side note, shaq played dream very, very well. Shaq wasnt the reason they lost and after that series, the torch was passed. Dream is the only big shaq ever respected. He said because dream never flopped and never whined. He just played, took your best blow and gave u some back.

that whole playoff run was classic.

    incredible stories.

    clyde returning to his hometown
    maxwell's exit
no real power forward since OT was traded, so we got some typical rudy t warriors like chucky brown/pete chillcut
the REAL emergence of Robert "big shot" Horry
    Sam Cassell's second year
Kenny Smith and his 3 point shooting
    Mario Elie's KOD
Dream vs Malone, Barkley, Robinson, Shaq
facing elimination, Clutch City can't be eliminated

I think it was Matt Goukas who called them, "nuclear cockroaches."

One thing that has always stuck with me about that year.

After we won Game 4 against Orlando and the entire Summit is erupting in joy, what's the VERY FIRST THING that our 2-time MVP who just lead his team to it's 2nd straight championship does?

To this day, perhaps the classiest thing I've ever seen from a professional athlete. Shaq was just a rookie and his idol actually takes time away from celebrating his 2nd championship to comfort him. Shaq has said many times that he'll never forget it.

    Shaq wasn't a rookie.
