Inconsistent teams are a mark of playoff success, the old Rockets teams over the last few years of T-Mac and Yao always had exceptional success rates against the bottom of the barrel but terrible and unconvincing win rates when they were up against mid-level and elite teams (always under .500)...if memory serves, the Rockets are slightly above .500 when it comes to mid-elite teams this year, they just can't close the deal against bottom-feeders like they used to. In April and March those losses against Memphis, Clippers etc...will matter. But they'll matter little. I am much more satisfied with the convincing wins against the Hornets, the Suns, the fully healthy Spurs etc. etc. which matters a hell of a lot more since these are potential playoff adversaries. I'm convinced this team has enough to get into the WCF, even with some injuries. It'll remain to be seen if they can figure out the Lakers this year or not.
speaking of SW division, im quite impressed with san antonio going from last place to first in such a short amount of time. never thought they still had it
