The most competitive conferences in this era yes. They couldn't have beaten so many other great teams, our own Houston Rockets from the championship days, Showtime Lakers,Michael's Chicago Bulls, Bill Russell led Celtics,
Prime Duncan Spurs, Bad Boys Pistons. Shaq/Kobe Lakers. No way could they have beaten a prime Wilt Chamberlain 76er team. Even the Shaq and Penny led Orlando Magic would have been more than a handful for them, or for that matter the Clyde led Blazers at their peak.

It's numbers plugged into a formula...can't really argue with their results. Argue about their formula..

wait till they meet Lebron, Irving, JR Smith, Mozgov, Thompson and the rest of the Cavs.

Harden and Howard (and pieces) are basically able to hang with this team. Not impressed.

It's strictly numbers. The formula doesn't know who ESPN likes or who Curry is FWIW.

I am fairly familiar w/ the basic ELO system and it's pretty interesting to run the NBA back through it. I'm surprised the Warriors are rated so high because ratings carry over season to season. This season must have been a big jump because a lot of Western teams carried high ratings themselves and the Warriors had such a good record against them.
