Can you just imagine the social stigma of being known as the r****ded girl who gave blowjobs for free while someone else got paid for your services?

my sister recently quit her high school teaching job. i can tell you without a doubt that things went on in the halls of that high school, the same one i went to just 12 years ago, that i didn't even think/know about when i was that age. and what's odd, is that those things are happening on the junior high level with too much frequency as well. the stories i'm hearing from kids i know in junior high are ridiculous.

its hard to explain, but i think in a lot of instances these days junior high is worse.

maybe it has something to do with being underage and not being liable like an adult.

I agree with this. I think the issue with stuff going on in Jr. High is that you have a mix of young children and teens.

You are taking sixth graders, who for the most part are little kids, and mixing them with eighth graders, who for the most part are teenagers. There is a maturity mixing that can cause big problems...both sexually and emotionally.

It's a everyday occurence around my block/hood. Things to look out for...the underage girl who has a lot of older guys at her house of the time.

I'm not sticking up for anyone here, but I have to ask (in a sincere manner)...

what is the problem here? Are you seriously shocked that someone could think this story was amusing, mildly at that?

I personally thought it was hilarious basically because it is so outrageous. No, this isn't 'what society has come to'. It's an isolated incident where school officials failed to protect the girl.

Now when I read it I was indeed laughing, not at the expense of anyone but at the situation. Is there a problem with that? What, am I supposed to be repulsed or outraged by this?

Perhaps I'm reading too much into your post, but lighten up. I know I'm not the only one who was amused by this, especailly when the 7 other people I've sent the story linked to found it quite amusing.

Well, based on your sig, I'm not surprised you found it funny.

    To each his/her own.

I found absolutely no humor in the article. And I'm as big an ass as there is in this world... Or so I thought.

I am ... I'm sure it would be hilarious though if it were your sister, daughter, etc. that this had happened to.

Thanks! At least you found my signature effective, especially when you have to scoop that up when trying to come up with any type of weak argument. Until my signature is proven erroneous or until it is deleted, then it will remain. Surprising my signature is 'finally' being noticied after I've had it for the better part of two months.

Glad you liked it!!! And it's true; you are the biggest ass there is in the world! :)

Well see there, that's just the point -- it wasn't my sister, my daughter, etc. Especially useful that I don't have a sister, daughter, etc. Yup, that reasoning right there gives me full ability and immunity to give my opinion that I thought it was funny and stand up for my opinions.

Like the poster above, I don't see how having it as a family member (nothing to do with my post or the story) relates to your argument that I should be repulsed (BECAUSE MAYBE I AM REPULSED??? ). Maybe my post should be re-read, and reinterpreted as to the fact that yes I found it outrageous...

...who would've thought there was a huge different from outraged to outrageous???

and I will kindly repost for you:

And maybe instead of flaming me for my well-stated, well argued and legitimate opinion on why I thought it was funny, you people should be repulsed at the families, the authorities, the school officials, the teens who paid for sex, et cetera, and maybe instead of trying to turn this into a far <s>right-wing</s> negative bickering like the women you guys are acting like (no offense to any women in the thread; females are more than just useful people -- they're GREAT!), this should be a discussion on how to prevent any such incidents in the future. Maybe? It's just a thought.

Perhaps none of you will admit a good idea coming from myself, but guys, seriously, lighten up.
