After the miracle last night I was thinking lightning was going to strike twice with the Texans. When the clock was around 25 seconds and they were still around midfield I was thinking, no FG...miracle TD time!
He trolled that whole thread saying Ike would be no big deal. Then after the fact he had this gem to say http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=153440&page=134&pp=20 I'm still working on my Grandmothers home in Galveston to get it back in shape.
I never said it wasnt a bad storm moron, i said they hyped it as "like death" , meaning if you stay you die . Did that happen? No. Kthx bye

I want to know how in the world the bookies hit this one on the head. Two high powered offenses. Two non-existent defenses. A plethora of scoring. One point spread. Un-freakin-believable. That being said...glad I didn't make it by the casino. Saved me some cash. Classic game Coogs. My kids saw their first episode of me going apesh!t at the results of a sporting event. Good times.
If you've ever gambled against the spread for any length of time its astonishing how often the Vegas line is right on. That said they don't care about being "right" only about getting the same amount of bets on each side. So that means the fact that its so close to the final score means that the wagering public usually has a pretty good idea of which team is better and by how much. The biggest game of the day (so presumably the one with the most action) was Alabama/LSU. The Tide was favored by 7 and won by 9. The over/under number was 38.5 and the combined teams scored 39 points. If I were gambling C-USA, I might bet some "overs" especially with the Coogs involved the over/under number for UH@Tulsa was 71, which is a Texas Tech vs BYU in their best years kind of number, or about as high as it ever gets...and it still fell 20 points short.
I've been betting on sports occasionally for a few years now (nothing big) and its ridiculous how close the spreads and over/unders are. Vegas knows more than you about sports, there are people who devote their lives to making sure that number nets a casino money.
It was too close for my taste, they could have made it an easy game. However I'm glad they pulled it off. At first I was ecstatic when the field goal was good but then I was awestruck that it went down like that. Any word on Sumlin sticking with the coogs?
