    Kenny Burrell- "Midnight Blue"

RM Tex, have you heard this Kenny Burrell- Midnight Blue CD? It is incredible!!! A very bluesy- jazz sound. I highly recommend it.

I've heard bits and pieces of it. Kenny Burrell is an absolute monster...I've loved his playing for a long time.

I have only heard a few songs by him. I downloaded and burned the entire Midnight Blue CD and was blown away by it. Have been playing it non-stop ever since.

    77. I understand those guys still pack it in at their shows. They could teach some of these younger bands a lesson on how to make music that lasts for more than a few months...

Pretty good! There's definitely a variety of different types of music on it. The guitar hooks that dominated some of Blur's past songs are no longer there since their guitarist Graham Coxon left. I'd say it's more funky and less loud than past Blur albums.

Some of the songs almost sound like they could be carry-overs from the whole Gorillaz thing, but there's also some good ballads, and at least one song that is pure Blur silliness.
