    it appears to me he is getting shot while participating in a Mother's Day second line parade in New Orleans.

    The biggest part of the story was that it was a parade for Mother's Day. Otherwise everyone would be pretty ho hum.

    Even if there was a particular target, it's pretty brazen to shoot into a crowd of bystanders. If it's not quite AQ, it's at least an Al Capone level. Maybe it shouldn't grip the nation like Boston did, but New Orleans should be especially interested in catching and punishing these guys, moreso than other more discreet street thugs.
