some people think this is a secret anti-tmac thread or a rick the ruler thread. they don't like that. they hate. Brooks/Landry are the leaders of the team for sure.
Some folks downrate threads for no simple reason than just to hate. Hater gotta hate ya know. This season has certainly been enjoyable. Reminds me of the 22 game winning streak, except they are keeping it exciting even while losing games.
Nice come from behind win last night too. It was almost as if the team has a couple of closers, isn't it?
And yet we still get little to no respect from the national media (or local media sometimes for that matter)... ESPN is practically the equivalent to your local KISS 101 FM station, they only cater "pop" to the largest demographic. In this case, Boston, LA, and Cleveland fans... Anything else is purely page 2 for fear of losing readership/viewership IMO.
If someone took it that way, I apologize - I very sincerely meant nothing of the sort. I think the guys out there right now deserve serious accolades.
Landry, Lowry, and Brooks are thriving under RA. I don't think they would be this confident and good without a coach as good as RA, maybe except Landry. And Budinger looks like a 10 year vet out there, he brings exactly what we need from him off the bench.
The most impressive record vs. expectation in the NBA, with Milwaukee running 2nd and no other competitors in sight.
Maybe I'm just being overly pessimistic after so many fails over the past years, but I'm still not sold on this team. And wonder if we can really keep this up. If we can keep this pace up for half a season, then I'll really be sold that this team can actually make the playoffs.
If the Rockets keep this up and win 50 games, can Rick finally get a well-deserved coach of the year award? Or does the recognition go to Morey for getting valuable players for not a lot of money or high draft picks?
