    Jefferson, Rubio, Blount and Cardinal

    for

    Tmac & Landry

They get out of Jeffersons long term deal get major cap relief and a good young forward in Landry.....

    And the rights to Tmac....

"dont be mad at the players, be mad at rick and me. we want them to do that. "

It's amazing to me how involved Morey appears to be with the game plan. Usually the GM gets the players and turns it over to the coaches. Morey plays an active part with the coaches and obviously Adelman agrees with the statistical analysis Morey provides. I can see why JVG wouldn't have worked.

I can not stand JVG as a coach...hated him here.....but, I think he was a very smart man and would have also taken in Morey's data...and worked with it.

I think Morey is talking too much! No one is trying taking credits from him. He doesn't need to say that.

Morey and others have said JVG was very supportive of the ideas and statistical information that they gave him.

Statistical information will only provide additional advantage. It would be foolish not to use it.

    LOL. Dream on.

Why does Minny need to lose salary? Jefferson is their only major talent with a big contract. They're not stacked up with bad contracts. They've already got a bunch of expirings. IMO, Jefferson, Love, and Flynn are their major pieces. I would suspect they are either going to let their ending contracts expire or trade for major talent at the trade deadline if it looks like their team is doing something (not at the moment) and is going to be an effective playoff contender. If they are not contending for the playoffs, they are better off to hold on to Al, draft another top talent, and let their expirings go, keep the cap space they have and either add a major free agent or continue to save money for a rainy day when they can significantly boost the talent level of their team.

I think John Lopez doesn't watch the games. I really dislike that guy. I wish they would have teamed up Van with someone else.

He thinks Scola is doing awesome while I think he has been a disappointment this year so far.

And I can't wait for Tracy to come back and play well and show that chump how wrong he is about Tracy.

You and I must to be watching different games (I haven't missed one yet). Scola is having his best season. So is Landry. Both are going to have bad games, sometimes because of matchups, but both have improved a lot. Last night, Luis was tremendous and Carl was awful. It happens. When both are on, we're very, very tough to beat.

Here's my favorite Morey quote from this interview:

DM: the charges he (Chuck) takes are better than blocks, with a charge its a turnover but with a block the other team could get the ball back. one of the positives with yesterday was with about 8 or 9 minutes left chuck and kyle and scola got that look that we're not going to let ourselves lose this game.

Morey, is doing and saying exacty what he's suppose to... The coach is not there so he states WE.. I see nothing wrong with what he said and he's not trying to be a glory hound.

A log of coach's would love to have a GM like Morey, he's going to get you the players to work with, stand behind you with difficult situations and want leave you on an island by yourself.

Why would anyone want to get out of Jefferson's long term deal? His deal is dollar for dollar the best buy in the league in so far as long term deals go. How many other 20-10 big men signed for 55 million? Guys like Ben Gordon and Monta Ellis make that.

Worrell's take on this topic was even better imo

paraphrasing from the game commentary, but he said Chuck takes the charges are better than blocks because it also gets a foul on the opposing player

You're right. I remember him saying it. Interesting that Morey said the same thing and left out the foul. I guess it's considered a given, but I don't remember this particular subject getting as much play as it is now.

This wasn't thought over much, DD..
You think Minnesota thrives off FA?
What big name would want to play there?
They wanna win, just like any other organization, and their way of acquiring talent is through drafting and developing.
There's no way in heck they're getting rid of the cornerstone of their franchise and a few others for some cap relief..

What was he expecting? 30% from the field and 20% from three?
