He has heard rumors that TF isn't happy with Morey. He did bring up an interesting point, you would have a better team by trading Harden because Harden would bring back better pieces to surround Westbrook than vice-versa. Russillo He believes that Russ wants his own team and the ball in his hands. The culture stuff is more about Russ not being about to dictate how and what happens. He had a say in everything in OKC and now he doesn't in HOU. Russillo said ORL is not interested. NYK have built a front office that has relationships with young NBA stars so they can be ready when they want out. If anyone wants to do it, Charlotte would be his guess. It would be crazy if TIlman won't trade to PHI, Ben Simmons and Fox from SAC are the best young players out there. Devin Booker also, if he's gettable.
Harden for Simmons is by far the best move for the organization. If they don't do it, it would be yet another nail in the Rockets coffin under Tillman's ownership. Simmons will probably never be as good as Harden has been but at least you get back an all star to build around. Then trade Russ for Myles Turner or some other young floor spacing big. You could rebuild a young playoff team on the fly. Without that, this team has no future. You can trade Russ for Love and #runitback but eventually Harden will force a trade and you'll be left with the remnants of Love and the scraps you get when a past his prime Harden forces a trade. On top of that it will come at the worst moment as we wouldn't have any of our top picks.
I've had enough of point guards that can't shoot already. Pass on Simmons especially if it's for Harden.
Simmons is 5 inches taller than our center (same height as Anthony Davis). He's really more of a PF with excellent ball handling and passing ability.
Yeah but he's a point guard. If you move him to PF or C he loses all of his effectiveness at playmaking which is one of his strongest abilities.

Patrick is involved in all the basketball decisions.... including coaching and player personnel decisions. It is the drawback of having a”family” owned team. Patrick’s involvement will only grow with time as well.
