... Dikembe's Finger Wag ... Beating the Lakers one game after becoming the #2 win streak.. just because. ... The way the team handled Artest's antics with dignity and class. ... Vernon Maxwell's daughter once scored 30+ points in a pee-wee co-ed game in my neighborhood.
Okay, now Im a big Yao fan, but he may be a questionable player for us at this point. With his career into a injury-proned area, he may be another flop in the later years. IM NOT SAYING HES A FLOP NOW, SO DONT GO GETTING ALL CRYBABY ON ME. Im just saying, hes a big guy, and when big guys get injured, they never seem to recover from them. And I know Morey and Alexander are contemplating about this very issue. Hope he stays healthy, lord knows I do. But the way he gets abused and lands awkwardly sometimes, I see him staying with annoying injuries his entire career.....
How about we start looking for big numbers: The 38 years the Rockets have been in Houston. The 62 wins the Rockets are over .500 as a franchise. The 116 playoff wins. The 51 All-Star appearances. The 20 Basketball Reference categories that have Dream listed as the franchise's career leader. The 18 players who had the last name of Jackson, Johnson or Jones. The 589 total of steals and rebounds from Dream's best year in each category (213 steals, 1988-9/376 blocks, 1989-90) That makes 894 reasons.

http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_y...enversonrizzliesti&prov=rotowire&type=fantasy I love the Rockets because they still have a chance at Iversoning out the wrinkles this season.
Some of my top reasons why I love the Rockets.... - 'The Rockets Red Glare' moments during the National Anthem. I was at game 6 vs Portland this year. I got chills during that moment. - This team is always one of the classiest, most underrated franchises in the league. We get no love from the national media but thats okay. It makes us the underdog. There's no better story than an underdog overcoming the impossible. - We will beat the Lakers this season. - We might sneak into the playoffs as the 8th seed this season. - We will return to glory someday and be NBA champs. I cannot imagine what this city and this forum will be like when that day happens. I was too young to really appreciate our first 2 titles. I was 13 yrs old and had only been a Rockets fan for 2-3 yrs prior to that. The past 12 years of losing seasons has made me love this team so much. I shed a few tears of joy when the confetti rained down after our game 6 portland win this year :*)
The meanacing light blue rocket with teeth that graced our uniform in the late '90's to the early 00's. But seriously, I have to admit, I do miss the old wooden floor with that rocket exhaust that went all the way to what seemed like the visitors locker room...
