Next time the rocks organization should look in the Kelley Blue book under Cato to see if they are getting a fair price.
He serves the team well on the bench. Sure, he's overpaid, but at least he's earning a tad bit of the money.
This thread is going nowhere.......should have posted "Things I hate in general" You could also cite 10 things you like about Cato, though and get the same bad things as good ones, you see, this is going nowhere....
As long as Cato wears the pinstripes you support him and give him props when they are due otherwise join the bandwagon fans. Welcome by the way
anyone support playing Cato and Ming together at the 4 and 5? I somehow think that starting them together might be a good choice..... afterall, our PF is not the main scoring threat (except for the recent comeback from MoT, though we will need him to fuel the offense for the 2nd unit).. Cato can actually score a bit here and there.... he seems to be the best choice to catch a Francis alleyoop...... on defense, I think Cato & Ming will give the opponent some major problem.... EG can block, but Cato can block and play good D..... plus his rebound is much better than EG.... and he is hustling a lot more than other players.... just a thought though......
This is a terrifying thought; Cato is currently one of our most consistent players! I never thought I would see the day. He is actually a very good back up center. For what he is getting paid, he should be. The Rockets have made many bad personnel decisions and horrible financial deals. Cato is overpaid, Norris is overpaid, Taylor is overpaid. Plus I would have never traded for Rice, nor signed Francis long term. I would have never signed T. Morris, nor Collier, nor Maddux, nor Posey. I would have gone for Griffin, but please, would somebody coach the poor kid! Except for Ming, I would probably trade the whole team. THIS TEAM IS NOT AS TALENTED AS ADVERTISED. Besides Ming, name a consistently good shooter on this team. Last time I checked, getting the ball in the hoop was the object of the game. By the end of the season, and all the "rah rah fan" stuff aside, we are all going to have to face the fact that this team as currently configured is a "lower tier" team. And only major adjustments will keep us from remaining in that most undesirable of positions. Let the bashing begin!

i actually like the way cato plays... he cuts the basket well... which is why he gets so many alley oop dunks. and he is much better rebounder per minutes played.. than compared to yao... not sure about his defense.. but i would love to see yao learn how to be aggressive on the boards
