10 Games Left How many Wins do we need ?

    We are 38-34

I say we need to win 8 out of the next 10 to make it, so we can only afford 2 more losses.

    46 Wins makes it

    45 Wins Maybe

    46 guaranteed

    45 probably makes it

    44 probably not

    43 still possible but unlikely

Memphis has a so-so schedule left, and we own the tiebreaker. New Orleans has a really tough schedule, but we lose that tiebreaker. If I were playing lets make a deal i would be happy to take my chances with 45 wins.

Unfortunately there comes a point where your fate is no longer in your hands. We are dangerously close to that point. We need Memphis losses more than Houston wins.

A Memphis loss tonight would have been HUGE! Dammit, those guys keep winning.

I think we can catch the Hornets though.

With the way Memphis has been playing there's no guarantee.

They went on mini-win surges to obtain the ninth seed. Then Utah fell apart, so the eight seed fell in their laps.

Battier certainly helps them more with Rudy out. It was still the best move at the time. The injury bug is a b****, and seems to catch us at the worst time (Budinger).

This will go down to the wire once again for the Rockets. Teams with an above .500 record will not be in the playoffs. The West is still. I really hope the team can at least go 7-3 and see what that gets the team.

Memphis has 10 games left and 5 of those are easy games. So basically they would need to lose at least 4 games for us to have a shot, IF we go 8-2 the rest of the way. Personally I think our chances of beating out Memphis are pretty slim given our remaining schedule. However, I do think we have a better chance at beating out New Orleans since they have a tougher schedule the rest of the way. Problem is, the Rockets will likely lose to Miami, Dallas, and San Antonio, and potentially Atlanta. We also play in New Orleans with high stakes so I think this might decide who takes the 8th spot.

New Orleans is looking like the team we should target now. Their schedule is brutal, they play a hot Memphis team twice, LA, and us. Hopefully that's four losses at the very least.

We need 10. No need to be cute with it; just win 'em all.

We definitely need to win 8. 7 wins will be 50/50. Anything less then 7 wins mean we are out.
