Lol, I can relate to this.

Men are nothing without experiencing life outside their comfort zones. It should be mandatory to take gap years after high school and travel when the mind is open and free from trivial responsibilities - this is common practice in Europe and Australia but the US is too quick to thrust kids into a corporate or degenerative frat mindset.

Perception is our reality, so when a guy lacks the ambition to know what goes on outside of the things he can directly touch and see, it relegates him to forever being a follower. To forever knowing pleasure in a limited fashion... and a cold awakening once the reality of this hits.

I thought I knew what beauty was, then I went to small town Europe. All big cities have their share of beauty - but the inspirational radiance of simple shopkeepers could not be denied. Anglo beauty (derivatives of the British empire) is very symmetrical and practical. But beauty outside of that is artistic, wild and inspirational. The Slavic, Baltic, Spanish and Mediterranean peoples in unheard of towns captivated me more in 15 minutes of conversation than the typical Anglo beauty would in years of blah blahing. The Scandi girl (and they can be the epitomy of feminine) I was dating had to take a backseat as my thirst for exploration had just begun. The gender dynamics in places with a history of turmoil was pretty new to me and made me appreciate girls on very intricate level. I always had a sixth sense of what I liked - but now that vision of air was becoming a concrete reality in front of my eyes. Of course as my following grew, the more outlandish and cheeky I became. That's the danger of going too far too quick - sometimes you forget where you came from.

Nah, I don't think music itself is a creature comfort. More likely the instrument you played. You're also setting absolutes for yourself - so what if you hadn't met your current wife? There would be others. This fantasy of there only being one for you is the ego talking (denial). I am this way... and only she can understand that.

That's just not how it breaks down, babycakes.

Taste in music can be acquired, but being rhythmic isn't. You either have it or you don't. If you hear music in this clip, you've got it. If not, you're probably a try hard.

That's a hard line to draw. You want your kids to see the best of what the world has to offer and give them high self esteem compared to their poorer peers with no fashion sense, but you don't want to spoil them into not being able to take control of their life. I'd rather make them cocky little ****s who are honest about how they feel than shy passive aggressive types who slut around in stealth mode.

As for gourmet popcorn, I don't believe in empty calories so you might win the battle of value, but you're losing the war of the waistline.
