    Don Baylor...just fits the bill

I would love for Don Mattingly to get a shot but honestly aint going to happen.

So far I'd say Acta or Bogar

I would cut a blank check and say Tony you fill out the rest!

I hope the Astros have at least contacted Brad Ausmus to see if he's interested. If so, he is my pick.

Brad's a little busy right now... would love to see him get a ring (while not playing) to end his career. I just don't think he's going to be the choice, although I wouldn't discount him in the future if he starts managing in the minors when he retires.

Yea, true, but Wade said there was one more candidate they have to wait on due to the playoffs. I really hope that person is Ausmus. (fingers crossed)

Why would Larussa want to come here? Seems like we have a few years of rebuilding to do.

Could be Tony Pena, Mattingly, Mickey Hatcher, Larry Bowa, or Roenicke as well.

It's funny to me that Dick Justice is campaigning for Fregosi when he was on the morning show with John and Lance and the three of them all agreed that the Astros would have to be stupid to hire Fregosi.

That we he does. He flip flops all the time. John and Lance try to kiss his ass all the time and agree with all time. They never call him out on this.

I think the last four guys on the list will be Phillies bench coach Pete Mackanin, Ned Yost, Jim Fregosi, and Eric Wedge. Mackanin was the interim manager for the Pirates and Reds for a combined record of 53-53. Wedge is really good friends with Jeff Bagwell from their days in the Red Sox farm system.

"Hold onto your hats, Astros fans, the team just announced its 10 managerial candidates: One is Phil Garner. The other nine: Dave Clark, Al Pedrique, Ned Yost, Randy Ready, Bob Melvin, Manny Acta, Brad Mills, Tim Bogar and Pete Mackanin."

I don't understand why they even want him on their show though. He doesn't really contribute anything.

He doesn't but they seem to think he does and he is a big name. Remember when he had his own show. That was a train wreck.

I also hate the "I AM THE MEDIA" crap and I hate that they play it up for him and inflate his ego.
