that would make more sense. The Suns could have Barbosa step in at PG, and the salaries arent too far off. I thought he was talking about the rockets because of the "rockets pockets" comment, that was intentionally misleading.

I can see Kobe going to Phoenix for Nash and Marion. Ever since Shaq got traded, Kobe has been looking for a replacement. Amare ain't Shaq, but he will have to do.

    (1) Obviously he is referring to Steve Francis.
    (2) Sparks = Sam Cassel

Steve Francis for Sam Cassel the original spark plug off the bench!

The RA reference is about Rafer Alston being traded to team WAS.

    SIGH!!!

You know a thread is getting out of hand when posters are seriously speculating the Suns will trade Nash.

I mean, it's laughable enough that some think the Rockets will actually trade Yao or TMac. But, to think the Suns would trade a two-time MVP, still playing at the top of his game and the heart and soul of that organization right now; well that's just downright absurd.

Okay - here goes. Trade Mark = Logo = Jerry West, who will pop up again as Lakers GM. He will then pull out his tried and true blackmail pictures of Les, and call up and force a trade of always injured Lamar Odom and the contract that will hurt Rockets pockets for a long time, Vlad Rad, in exchange for Tmac and Deke.

tierre_brown and I have been at it for a while and this is what we have come up with:

Dallas Trades: (Trade Mark = Mark Cuban?)
Jason Terry - complaining star/hurt pockets
Desagana Diop - african? (works with or without)

    Houston Trades:
    Steve Francis - complaining star
    Shane Battier - sluggish (8pts on 3-8, 2 rbs, 1ast, 1st, 1blk, in 34 min)
Dikembe Mutumbo - Aging African, coveted by Dallas

Dallas wants interior defense (mutumbo), and a perimeter defender (battier), replacing hassell and Devean George with a better alternative. Gets Steve Francis to play off the bench w/ Jerry Stackhouse.

Houston wants a legitimate 3pt shooter and true pg in Terry (well at least one that fits RA's system) as well as a more mobile big in Diop. Diop might be too much to part with but the trade works either way.

The setting sun is the only part that doesn't fit, except one could see Mark Cuban wanting to change the team after last year's fiasco.

Oh, oh... oh, no, not again is from trading Francis.

Although it has been mentioned, Jason Terry does have a large contract that runs for four more years.

I think Cuban has a set rule. No trades with division rivals.

Come to think of it, wasn't it Doc Rocket that was always the cryptic one, not Pops? Maybe Pops did pass away, but before he did, he had his daughter give his password to Doc as payback for losing the bet on the Yao Ming pick (Doc nailed that one). Remember that Pops' daughter did post for him while he was in the hospital. It would be just like Doc to mess with us by siting on the password for four years, and then bust it out with a cryptic special.

Someone mentioned that Nash was originally from South Africa. It was never said that this trade affected Houston directly. What about:

Phoenix sends Nash and Marion to Los Angeles for Kobe Bryant and whoever can make the trade work.

I think it's pops. It's too coincidental that he goes away when JVG gets here and comes back after he leaves.

Again, I don't think #1 and #2 are related. Sounds like the RA upset with some folks (Rafer) and the Lakers are working hard to deal Kobe.

And for those who think OP is Rudy T, I'd like to point you to post #35 in this thread, thank you very much. ;)

Maybe the players not pleasing RA (Rick) were not OUR guys, buy guys we would receive in trade. "Strong words" could be serious trade talks, no?

u guys, is it possible we will have a trade with chicago,

Trade mark could only be kobe or TMAC, who drop 40+,

because of he post after rocket second game, i would guess TM will be TMAC

LENG AND BEN GORDON are all complaining star,

so it would be TMAC + MOTOMBO for LENG OR GORGON + BEN WALLACE (HIS AGING AND LONG TERM CONTRACT)
