    Welcome back...........

That is interesting, however I don't believe Francis can be traded until December 15th and Mutombo till January 1st, because of being just recently signed.........that may be incorrect, but believe that is true.......just adding a wrinkle to the code.

    Hey Guys:

Out of touch for almost a year and a half, then out of country for several years, kept my hand in things in LA LA land and in southwest though - so not completely out of circulation - but no posts for a number of years - (no not in jail! heh, heh) but ...

    (1) Team WAS sluggish, as is expected this time of year, but some specific players did not please RA. Strong words exchanged.

    (2) Yeah, scarry poop on this. To be honest, from what I gather it is fairly close but not solid, a lot of "trade me/no trade me" phrases & clauses to fanangle the discussions. I don't know if I like this or not, but defintely would add some sparks to the new season. We will know within a week if it is a go.

Pop - are you saying there are chemistry problems within the team as well?

trade me/no trade me - makes me think there is more than one player who wants out.. Don't have a clue besides Francis.. maybe Snyder?

I thought Marion at first as well, but that's a big contract. It would take McGrady and that ain't happening.

The "Setting Sun" could mean the Suns, but it could also just mean a Western team, as the sun sets in the west. Most likely a far west team (Lakers, Clips, Kings, Sonics, Blazers, etc..)

The only potential "Star" complainers from this region that I can think of at the top of my head are Kobe and Marion. However, the Kings could be the spot. They have a few vets there that may not be too happy with all the trade rumors and rebuilding talks going on, although I've heard nothing publicly. Potentially Bibby, Artest or Brad Miller. Those don't really make a ton of sense though due to the size of their salaries.

If it's Francis and Mutombo, their salaries can't be much higher than 4-5 mill. I wonder if Grant Hill is complaining in Phoenix.

Hmmm. Bibby's out for 6-8 weeks. Good timing. What's his contract look like?

Could the complaining star be Bonzi? He only played 15minutes tonight, and he was complaining a lot (not getting back to do it). Maybe RA had strong words with him after the game?

Popeye just said the deal was close. Y'all are saying Francis and Mutombo can't be traded due to contract restraints. My head hurts.

I wish it was Marion. But I agree, its obvious. The contracts simply don't come close. Nor does our offer talent wise. Also if it is indeed the Suns we are dealing with y'all can kiss your boy Brooks goodbye I would think.

Bibby seems about right to me now that I think about it. Hmm... That would be insane.

This thread is going to explode in the morning. A Pops sighting....that doesn't happen verry often, nice to see your still around.

You must be talking about Deke and Franchise. Land of the setting sun is of course Phoenix but who would we be trading for? Some else mentioned Diaw but what is his salery like?

he did say "aging contract that will hurt rocket pockets for a long, long time"

if it's sacto and it is artest or bibby? they're 27 and 29. not exactly aging.

    bibby only has 2 yrs left - $13,500,000 $14,500,000
    artest has 2 also, the 2nd is a player option - $7,800,000 $8,450,000

not exactly a long long time.

There only two people who come to mind with this hint: Kobe Bryant and Shawn Marion.

As far as I know, there's virtually NO way this could work.

I say this only because I don't recall anything of the sort from Francis, despite being rather disgruntled re: playing time.
