I agree. If someone is posing as popeye (which I don't believe at all), they have his style nailed. I mean, to the wall. He's back and he has us spinning, as per usual. And it does feel more like the GARM of fond memory.

Aging contract could mean one that is due to be replaced with a BIG new contract. Doesn't Bryant have 2 years left on his? No one is going to sell the farm for the goofus without an extension. Just a thought.

Whoever posted this, here is my attempt at the Da Vinci Code-

T(rade)M(ark) - simply means that TMac is in trade discussions
complaining star- Steve Francis (although he isn't a star anymore he is the obvious complainer)- or is it Yao or TMac have either of them complained? if it is one of these look below.
    aging African- Deke
the setting sun- obviously means the 'west' (where the sun sets) so it could be any western div. team
get this- means we are exchanging one complainer for another
    another complaining star- see above
aging contract that will hurt the rocket pockets for a long, long time- the contract is long and the player is old so it will hurt the Rockets for several years.

I would look at Denver- maybe Camby, Martin, or Nene
I don't think Kobe's contract or Marion's contract work here- Unless obviously Yao or TMac are involved.

Shareef Abdur-Rahim (is he complaining?) might work with Stevie and Deke

OK that is my wasted time for the afternoon.

If that's it and it goes down, you won't see Rafer starting anymore once he gets here.

Also, I think half the board (and fans) wouldn't want to watch the Rockets if it was Kobe.

... and Yao??? The rest of the board and fans would be ready to string Alexander up.

After last night's win, I don't expect it to involve any players in the rotation. And it might cause the Rockets to take a pause before pulling any triggers on a deal right now.

Argh -- we have put Stee-Fran and Deke to bed in this thread, several times. They are like naughty toddlers who keep getting up to run around.

Please see ArtV's last very clear post. Neither of those guys can be traded this week or next week or this month even.

That's why these threads are awesome. If it's not Steve or Deke it gets scary. Real scary. Who else?

It's not Deke which means that we aren't the team sending the aging African.

As far as who is Oeilpere, Rudy's oldest daughter is a doctor and another daughter is a writer...

Wouldn't be too far off if one of his daughters was posting?
I don't go back far enough to know if that is totally ridiculous.

But I did think about Doc posting also.

If we jumble the words T(rade)M(ark) and leave the T and the M out, you get a Darrak which sounds like Derek. On his second email, finagle is spelled wrong; he spells it fanangle. Angle is associated with fishing. My guess would be Derek Fisher and someone else for Alston and Mutombo.

I like your pessimism. It's a great to see new members with a grand total of 1 post discrediting someone that has brought some pretty insightful information on this board in the past. If it weren't for posters like popeye, this board probably wouldn't be as big and successful as it is right now. Kudos, sir.

Man, this is not awesome. We are 2-0 right now and it's more because of T-Mac than any other Rocket. If we trade him, I don't care who for, I'm going to be heated!

Although I haven't understood a thing Pops has said since becoming oeilpere, it's good to hear from him.

The complaining star has to be SF3, I don't care what he's contract status is.

    READ,

    "oh, oh.....oh, no.....oh, not again"

oh,oh when we trade for sf3
oh,no when we trade away him
this tims it's oh,not again, we might trade sf3 one more time.
